I am thankful that God has blessed me with 2 beautiful children, hopefully with many more to come! :) I have enjoyed all the sweetness of baby babbles, toddler kisses, and just wanting to snuggle with Mommy. It isn't always easy though, the most difficult thing (so far) is dealing with a very active 2 year old who has a mind of his own and doesn't always want to listen, but it's so worth it! Would not trade my job for any other!

Something about motherhood... I have always looked forward to being a mother but it was on my terms. I realized later that I hadn't embraced motherhood the way God had intended it. After our third child we thought we didn't want anymore children but praise God didn't do anything radical. Then we got pregnant with our 4th and the Lord changed my heart. Every time I looked at our daughter I thought "if I would have had it my way, she wouldn't be here" Now who am I to decide who should come into this world or not. God has a plan for this baby and I almost slammed the door on God and decided I knew better.
Now we are expecting our 7th baby and so very thankful and blessed. It isn't always easy, we have had trials (like having a premature baby) but the Lord is always present and building our faith up.

Motherhood has been a new adventure for me. I never felt that I 'fit' in the corporate world or at any job for that matter. Once I became a mother, I realized that this is what God had designed me to do. Amazing considering that I had decided not to have children before I got married and God changed my heart.

I always loved children. I spent years teaching, counseling, sharing the Lord with children. THEN I got married and began having my own children. I have learned more than I could possibly have ever imagined. More about the Heart of our Heavenly Father, More about my own sinfulness, More about caring for others, More about just what God has to say about children and families. I'm so thankful for the things I have and will continue to learn on this great adventure of the high calling of motherhood. I'm also thankful for women who are willing to spur other mothers on in that high calling.

I was thinking to write something else but out of the mouths of babes...just now it was my 2 yr old :) I was just correcting my 7 yr old for responding rudely to her younger sister and told her 'your little sister learns from you honey and...' my 2 yr old chimed in 'no mommy, I learn just from you. If you do this I do this, if you do that and that, I do that and that because I want to be just like you. The responsibility I have as a mother is very humbling...little lives in our hands. I'm honored and humbled that the Lord has given me my 3 children. Everyday I need His wisdom anew. Thank you Lord for your faithfulness! :D

I am a mother of 5, from ages 19 down to 4. We have always homeschooled and there have been challenges with that but more rewards than anything. My husband is a Baptist pastor and we have surrendered to be missionaries/church planters to the state of Utah. We have been here for 2 years now and our kids have had struggles that are hard for me as a mother to see. But God has always been amazing good to us and I thank Him for the many blessings he has given to our family. I am always looking for godly advice for my kids and being a mother and wife.

    What I love about motherhood
I live with another family. The other mom, Ems, is pregnant and has a 2 year old. I couldn't do this Godly mom thing without her help. She encourages me like no one else can because she SEES my daily struggles, I LEARN from her because I can see what she is doing and just ask her why because we are in the same house. We are really sister's in Christ. God is good, and has grown us, though each other.

Although some of their discoveries can be challenging (cabinet doors, dog food), I love to watch their face light up when they realize what their discovery does. My children have really taught me to slow down and enjoy life and all the beauty that God made.

As I was watching the video on "True Christian Motherhood," my 3-yr-old daughter was leaning on me, stroking my back, said, "I like this music, Mommy." I look at her and think, "I'll blink again and she'll be 15, just like her sister."

I have enjoyed motherhood for 16 years, and while I have had moments of wishing to be out of a particular season, my only real complaint is that it seems to go by too fast, and I want to soak it all up and remember it all.

I have had people "take pity" on me in stores, both in word and deed. But I always think, and often say, "I am the most blessed woman I know." I never expected to have nine children, but I'm glad God did! Truly, this adventure is the most challenging and satisfying on earth! I wouldn't trade it for anything.

I remember when I first saw your page and it "hit me" that "A Wise Woman Builds Her Home" and the foolish pluck it down with her hands. What a blessing that passage of scripture is. What a wake up call for us to remember that everything we do we are either "building" or "plucking down" our home!

When my children were young, I spent time looking (hoping, longing) for a "Titus 2" woman, a teacher of good things, someone to show me how to love my husband,to love my children, and as the Bible says in Tit 2:5 "To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed."

One time I felt like I had found "the one", but we lost contact.

Before my children were born and throughout their early years, I read almost every Christian book I could lay my hands on.

Thank you for writing this book, especially for those Christian Mom's of young children who so desperately want to raise their children in the nuture and admonition of the Lord, but need guidance.

I would love to read it too :)

This looks like a really wonderful book!

I never realized just how much my own Mom did for me until I had children of my own. Now that we are starting out our "homeschool" years, I am coming to understand just how much she sacrificed to teach us at home. I wish that I could thank her for that!

Even though the role of motherhood can be daunting, it is truly a blessing. There are days I must remind myself of that fact, to be sure! I am blessed with 3 great children that keep me humble, on my toes, and on my knees. I love the fact that I am teaching my children at home, and intertwined in their academics is the Truth of the Gospel. Thank you for this opportunity!

I'm so thankful that God is so faithful. People see me and my 5 children, all under the age of 4, and they say "I guess you just have to remember God doesn't give you more than you can handle." Is that true? Is that in the bible? The bible says that he won't tempt you beyond what you are able. I'm not sure that is the same. Because having 5 kids in 39 months was (is) more than I can handle. But I know that's what God wanted... Because as long as my situation is beyond my ability, I will look to Him for everything. The most amazing gift I have been given with motherhood is an incredible lesson in trusting my God to supply all my needs.

Wow! Where are the Titus 2 women? I've been asking that myself. I look forward to reading this book. Us Mommies are in deep need for support and encouragement, especially as we stand up and live against the worlds ways. There are so many challenges, struggles and temptations that can distract and deceive us. These past few years God has graciously and gently opened my husband and I's eyes. There have been so many areas of our life that we weren't living for Him. This is one area, Christain Motherhood, that needs to be transformed according to God's purposes in our world today. I deeply desire to be a Godly "Titus 2" women for my daughters. The need is great and I look forward to being there supporting and encouraging them now and during their days of blessed motherhood, God willing! Thank you for seeing this need and ministering to us Mommies!

Motherhood - is such an incredible and sometimes overwhelming blessing! I thank God for the 3 precious children he has given us thus far and how he is using them to change me.

I love being a mom. When people say, "Wow, you have your hands full," I always respond, "Well, it's better than having them empty!"

I am mommy to two "littles". My daughter is 2 and my son is 11 months. I have struggled the entire way. I want to raise my children to be godly and fear the Lord, But as I was raised in a nominally Christian household, I have no idea how to go about doing so, and I (along with other young moms at my church) have wondered where we can get help from those who have gone before us...and advice (such as is there a better way to potty train than bribing with chocolate?)
I am looking forward to the book.

I love and appreciate the amazing way God knit my family together! My wonderful husband was so supportive when we were told we would never have children, and as a result of the doctors' report we adopted a child. Led by God, and seeing His Hand in the work, we then adopted a sibling group of four before discovering that the Lord was going to bless us with a biological child as well. I am constantly in prayer to see His will done in our home and look forward to learning and gleaning more wisdom! Thank you for the opportunity to post here!

I absolutely love motherhood. It has taught me so much. I have 5 wonderful blessings here on earth and 2 blessing that were miscarried-one last month. It has been a joy to watch them grow and see all that they do-even the bad.

So many things to say about motherhood. Basically it's bringing to light many imperfections and sins in my life. I'm learning to daily lay down my struggles and trust God for grace to overcome them.

I feel very blessed that God made me a mother. It is not easy sometimes but with the good Lords guidance and strength he brings me through each and every day. She is a gift from God so I treasure each and every moment I have with her.

if it weren't for God's mercy, faithfulness, grace & guidance, I'd have given up on marriage and parenting a long time ago. I love my 3 girls, but in myself I have nothing to give them. I pray one day, I'll see the fruit of all that the Lord has done in our family, despite myself.

When it comes to motherhood it absolutely amazes me that God has entrusted me to raise 3 wonderful children. Although I may sometimes feel overwhelmed I would not change my life as a mother for anything.
