I wish I had of know when my children were small that I was not alone-that there were other moms having the same struggles as I was.

The Lord blessed me with two children born from my body when I couldn't have anymore children we decided to adopt another child (one) the Lord had other plans for us He had three little girls who needed a forever family. We laugh and tell people to be careful what they pray for sometimes God tribles their prayers. What a blessing they are!

After 3.5 years of very stressful, painful infertility, we were blessed this March with a beautiful baby girl! She is truly a miracle. We were told that children wouldn't be in our future by the fertility clinic and found out on my husband's birthday last year that she was coming!
Something about motherhood: it really is as amazing and goes as fast as everyone says it does. How on earth did my newborn turn into a 6 month old?!?

Not having a godly mother, finding Titus 2 women are so important to me. Yet I agree, they are hard to find. I find having lots of little ones hard to manage with my time. How do you keep a clean home, wipe noses, change diapers, cook healthy meals, homeschool and sew all in 24hrs?

I think if I had to narrow down just one thing of what I love best about being a mother, it would be the little moments. Drooly, open-mouth kisses from babies, sticky toddler hair, mischevious twinkles in a preschooler's eyes, watching them grow into the men and women God made them to be... those are the awesome things about being a mother.

Though I would never choose to do anything different than a stay home mother, there are days when it is so difficult. I have three children under 6. WE are committed to homeschooling, which makes for interesting days. The hardest part is training the youngest . . . many a tear has been shed because she is constantly getting into things.

Raising him alone, many days were a struggle just to get through. Blessed by knowing God's grace is new every morning!! Fully realizing God's love for me has made it so much easier to lavish love on my son.

I am expecting our fifth child and it is interesting, and a bummer at the same time how many of the mothers in our same stage of life have distanced themselves from us since hearing we will soon have 5. Yet at the same time we have been blessed by some older ladies who raised one or two children, during a quiet moment, in hushed tones saying congrats. This is so encouraging because in the past these very older ladies had been very vocal against larger families and promoting a pragmatic approach to things laced with Scripture to make it sound wise. Thank you for this giveaway, and for your encouraging blog.

I love being a mom. I have wanted to be a mom since I was a toddler. I never realized it would be so hard. :) The hardest part for me *today* is staying awake. I've been up all night with a 3 year old and 1 year old who kept waking each other up (and therefore kept me awake too) and today they are both cranky and I need to be extra on top of things to keep them from degrading to tantrum central and I'm finding it extra hard to do that after a night of no sleep. I'm pregnant and homeschooling my almost-5 year old too so that adds to the exhaustion. So I'm hoping everyone will have a nice nap today! ;) Including me.

Thanks for the opportunity to win this huge package. I visited the other site and my comment on motherhood is that it is very bittersweet. I have finally found support through the internet in being the mother that I want to be, but I struggle with the lack of one-on-one support from my neighbours and peers. Even in the church, there are few, if any Titus 2 women! This books looks like a real blessing!

    Micah said...

I shared with my husband that if I knew how hard being a mother would be then I wouldn't have chosen to be one. Praise the Lord He is in control of our family and has blessed us with 5 littles to love and train. I battle selfishness daily, struggle with anger when my own agenda is usurped by another's needs. I constantly fall on my face before the Lord and ask forgiveness for my sin and the grace to love my children as He desires me to. I long to be the wife and mother the Lord desires me to be and know that He will continue working in me to make me more like Him until He returns or calls me home! I'm so thankful the Lord knows what is best for me and has seen fit to bless me with a godly husband and 5 children to treasure.

Motherhood. As a child the name of Mother was only used to show my mom I was irritated. Now, as an adult, it has taken the Lord washing my mind with His word to turn that name (Mother)in a sweet name my children call me.
