Being a Mama to many has been quite challenging and exhilerating! My husband and I were not raised in Christian homes, so we are 1st generation Christians trying to forge the baton and pass it at the same time. Loving Jesus with all of our hearts, souls, minds, bodies and strength...and loving others as our selves, is our main goal.

    Becky said...

Lastly...I am new to all of this...not sure if I am doing this correctly??? I do not have a blog, so I just put my name down, w/o a URL. Thanks again for giving of yourselves to bless so many! May God BLESS you abundantly!

I am very thankful to the Lord that I am a Mother! Motherhood is a blessing from God, many are not blessed with children, though they would love to have some. Raising children has 'eternal' importance, its not just about the here and now. We are raising our children for God's glory - what a privilege! Its good to remember these things when I am tired or overwhelmed with things. :-)

Thanks for your blog it is truly inspirational. I am a mother of 4 grown children - But now that I am a new grandma to a beautiful baby boy now 5 months old, I have found that the circle of mothering continues with the next generation. Oh it is such a blessing to hold him close but even more so to see the joy my dear husband has in him and to watch him hug and play with his darling grandson is wonderful.

Motherhood....something I struggle with...making sure that I'm consistent in discipline and character training. I so desire that my children would grow up to love and serve the Lord and I know that I need to be more consistent at times.

Motherhood is a blessing! Having four children of my own there is always ups and downs but God has always helped me with this, I also wish that more people would appreciate the moms that do stay home!

Thank you for this book and for always being an encouragement to me (and others!). "Mother" is the most refining role of my life! I am so thankful that the Lord sees fit to let me be a Momma and wife and while it is a daily dying to self, I know that there is not another "job" I could choose that would bring such blessing and joy.

I truly struggled with the blessing of motherhood. Not so much with my first but with my next three children. I struggled with society telling me that I lacked something if I stayed home with my kids. I was mentored by some pretty amazing godly women in my babies early years and they truly changed my life and my outlook on motherhood. I began to see it as the real blessing and obligation that it was. Today, you couldn't pay me any amount of money or give me any social status or recognition that would take me away from my home and my children and my husband. They are more precious than anything!

I have been praying to be a mother for the past 15 years, sometimes the wait is hard, but I know that God will honor my faith and bless me with a child soon! I am also a Pastor's wife so I have the awesome responsibility to be a "mom" to all the sheep of God! What a blessing it has been to receive this wonderful call of God! I really enjoy your blog! Thank you!

About motherhood: Sometimes I find myself consumed with thoughts of a new baby, whether it be having another or pursuing adoption. And I have to remind myself to be content with the four precious blessings I have already been granted to raise, and to make sure I am the best steward possible of their hearts, that I may be found worthy to be a mother again.

A dislike I have is that I feel very pressed for time to get everything done. I have 3 boys and I'm expecting my fourth blessing. (Due in the next few weeks)

I feel I'm at a disadvantage when it comes to things like this. I wasn't even going to enter. I feel like I'm taking time away from my family and home to enter into a selfish giveaway. A giveaway where there are women who are capable of entering multiple times instead of just one. Would I like to win this giveaway, YES! But, I'm only entering my name once and leaving it to God whether I actually win.

Thank you for such a gracious giveaway and good luck to all who have found the time to enter!

The Lord has been gracious to me. I am a mother of six and grandmother of two. By His grace, my hearts desire is to love and serve HIM and be pleasing to HIM as I raise my children for HIS glory. I struggle and fall and He lifts me up and leads me on, guiding me in HIS word. I thank HIM for saving me and pray that HE draw all in my family to repentance and faith in CHRIST. I desire to be an excellent wife and to teach my children to follow and KNOW HIM. I am grateful to find other women/mothers with the same desires. May the Lord bless and guide us as we walk with HIM on the narrow path. Thank you for taking the time to write such a necessary book!

I didn't understand why I was placed here on Earth until I had my daughter. It still amazes me how God changed me through the birth of my daughter. I pray everyday that my husband and I will be blessed with more children. I've been fighting cancer since my daughter was around 18 months old, so we have been unable to have more children so far. However, I know in my heart that God means for me to have more children. Motherhood is my true calling!

Motherhood... It is a trickier business than I thought it was :) Four children in 6 years has taught me to NEVER buy into a one-size-fits-all parenting plan. Every child is different; every family is different; and we mamas owe it to every baby to find out and do the best things we can to nurture and care for each one. God gave us gentleness for a reason <3

Regarding motherhood - I would love to BE a mother! My heart breaks every time I hear of a mother who just can't wait to have her kids out of the house so she can do her own thing or "begin to live her life."

In my view, it is the greatest career a woman can aspire to and the only one I've ever wanted. I continue to lift this to the Lord in prayer, praying as did Hannah - Lord, IF you will bless me with a child, I will raise him to your glory.
