«Oldest ‹Older 1001 – 1200 of 1341 Newer› Newest»I am a mother of four of which I am homeschool mom of three. We have been endeavoring to live a more meaningful and Christian existence by being in the Word of God everyday. I think these materials will be extremely helpful. I love it! Thank-you for the generous offer!
Motherhood is the most rewarding thing I have ever done. Sometimes are toughier than others, but I love seeing the friut of my labor. I won't trade places with anyone.

When I first became a mother I had no idea that God had established a way for me to learn about being a wife and mom. I felt alone and that I had to reinvent the wheel. I did everything on my own and alone. My own mother just didn't think I needed any help and my mother in law just thought my mother had taught me. Both were wrong and of course I didn't ask for help because I thought I was the only woman out there with no clue how to raise a child. After the birth of our second daughter I realized with two girls I needed to teach them something and I didn't know where to turn. Some more years passed and after a year and a half in public school we discovered homeschooling. It was more than a blessing to our family in educational choices- we became involved in a homeschool group with older ladies who DID teach the younger women to love their husband and children and be keepers at home! That was a decade ago. I now have teenage daughters who are learning from me and other ladies. We moved away from that community to the country and I miss my sweet fellowship and encouragement.
I struggle with patience so much. Am trying to work on that and could use some encouragement.
I love being a mother to all my children and now a grandchild to thrill my heart as well. I love kisses and hugs best of all.
Motherhood is such a blessing and challenge. I see God's design and character as well as my sinful nature so vividly as I mother my children.

God chose me and my husband to be the mommy and daddy of three special needs children. I am so belssed to have a husband who is understanding and supportive and who lives "on the same page" as me. We have been through many valley and reached many glorious peaks through the last 14 years of parenting together. We are now a homeschooling family and I pray that I trust God to fully equip us to grow these children for his glory. I have SO many good intentions, but I allow my perfectionism and frustration to push good intentions aside. I have a vision for raising our family that never seems to come close to happening. I pray that God will either get me moving toward that vision if it is in line with His will or to change my vision to something realistic and help me reach a point of contentment. I pray that I would lose my bent toward slothfulness and be an example of Godly living before the eyes of my family. I seem to be so good at meeting the needs of those outside our home and feel like my family is not getting my very best. I love them all deeply and fear that I am disappointing them as I continue to disappoint myself. I want to let go of the need to keep everything so organized that we cannot have fun as a family. I do not want the memories of our children to be that of a grumpy mom, so often dissatisfied with her surroundings.

Something about motherhood: If I'm honest, I struggle with patience with my little ones, and sacrificing my time for theirs. The Lord is showing me how to walk faithfully with those struggles. On the flip side, I never knew how much I could love someone so much, until I became a mother.

I visited the Modest Mom website. Wow, I wish I had items like that available when I was pregnant. I am not a fan of the tightly fitted maternity clothing that seems to be all the rage these days. Yes, be proud of becoming a mommy, but don't show the world what should be kept private.
Thanks!

Motherhood calls me to die to self and give endlessly to a greater cause--the Kingdom--while promising a greater reward than can ever be offered on earth. It's truly a calling with eternal value!

I visited the Doorposts website... I am very excited about the resources available to parents to raise a Godly family. I like the idea of the smaller charts to post around the house. It makes so much sense to have things for the kids to SEE, instead of parents trying to follow through on some rule they have randomly set in place. I can see these items being a huge benefit with our children.
Thank you,
lorigraves2@cox.net
I visited the Lilla Rose website and truly enjoyed the beauty. I have a daughter (11) who is very much into lovely items such as these. It would be wonderful to visit this site with her and watch her eyes light with excitement.

I visited the Victorian Rose Soap Company website. It took me back in time to the lovliness of my grandmother's home. she had a magificent claw foot bathtub that I would use for my bath and the room was pretty and fragrant. The soaps on the website look so creamy and luxurious. It would be fun to have these soaps to tranport myself back in time and relive the wonderful memories.
Thank you!

How can I pinpoint one thing about motherhood? Right now I am worrying a lot. I don't want to be a worrying mum. I have to remember to find my peace in God and to display that attitude to my children.
I visited the Victorian Soap Company. Very beautiful!

I visited A Great Impression webite. What a blessing to be led to this site... I have ALWAYS wantedto have scripture on the walls of our home. motherhood as a ministry is an enormous privilege. The importance of 'getting it right' and the impact that raising my children will have on generations to come, added to the strength of the complete opposite influences from the world make raising daughters (teenage and younger) the most difficult and challenging thing I will ever do.
My name is Takeya I am a mother by marriage and i love my son i've been in his life since 2yr, and it was very challenge cause he was gettting different and not so good training at the other parents house and he ddn't feel that he needed to listen to me and i showed him stern love and i adv him im not going to try to make u my friend you are the child and im here to care for you and take care of you and make sure you have what you need. Thur God that loved show to be more important and more stable that what he was getting at the other home and he loved getting home cooked meals, and books and flashcard, and getting taught about God;the things that will make him a better child of God, I love being a mother and watching him grow and seeing how he see and views thing at 9yr and it is amazing and i feel blessed to be able to be a part of a child.

I liked you on facebook and look forward to reading many more encouraging articles!
One thing that I really like about motherhood is the oppurtunities that I have to influence my children for God. So much stuff around us competes to take their eyes off of God-as a mother I can look for ways to point them back to the one opinion that really matters-God's.

I have a Titus 2 Woman mentor. It's great to have someone to talk to and get help when I need something.
I am not a mother yet, but it's something that I have desired to be from the time I was very small. I pray that the Lord will one day bless me with a husband and children!
I feel blessed to be a mother, it is such a precious gift. My biggest struggle right now is time management. There are so many things of this world that I am letting take my attention from my children (for example the internet) and other things I feel "have" to be done.

I just stumbled across your site and love it. On motherhood: my husband and I don't have any kids yet, but God has been showing us that we need to prepare to be the best parents we can be (with His help) so that when it's His time for us to have kids we've done what we can to train up godly children for His kingdom.

I would love a copy of your new ebook! We young wives and mothers need encouragement and guidance, especially during the days we live in. Bless you for writing this.
I could REALLY use this! I would forego all the other gifts, if I won, just to read this book. Seriously. I love my children more than anything and feel blessed to have them but I'm finding it harder as they get older and I feel inadequate at times to be their mother.
Just when I think I am not doing enough in raising my children in our Christian faith my older daughter always seems to come out with something that shows me that even when I don't think I am doing enough I am doing something that really sticks with her in a way she can actively apply. I may not be doing everything I can be doing but what I am doing is really making a difference.

I wanted to share something I MISS-
My children are now from 9 to 19 and I miss the sound of little feet and baby coos...and even the long nights nursing a fussy baby. I never wanted a day to come when there wasn't the sound of little feet totting through my house :-)
I long for the days when you could go next door, or to most houses in the street, and find other women and mothers at different stages of the walk you all shared. I feel alone in my street where, I believe, I am the only one home most days except for a couple of retirees who don't speak english two houses down.
Motherhood is a journey best not taken alone.

Visited True Christian Motherhood. The challenge in motherhood that I'm facing right now is having a senior in high school and realizing the time to let go is near. I'm wondering if this is more difficult because we've homeschooled him all these years or if it's the same for all mothers.
Motherhood has taught me more about God than I ever thought possible. I could never be on this journey without His grace!
I feel like I'm in a constant struggle (what parent isn't, I know)to practice godly parenting. I grew up in dysfunction and have zero support in the way that my husband and I are trying to parent. That's why I love your blog. Such great info for this pioneer Christian mom. :)
