The other day the children and I were having breakfast and we were talking about how quickly the month of December has flown by and how rapidly the new year is approaching us.
So I have been looking around at planners for 2020-- I use them mainly for blogging since I do most of my other planning such as family, homemaking, events on my phone. It helps me to keep them separate (so I am not overwhelmed) and definitely helps me to focus better.
If I had all these things on one planner it would definitely be more stressful, so that is why I keep things separate, I even use a separate planner for homeschooling.
A few reasons why you should use a planner are:
- Helps you to be a better time manager
- Helps you to increase your productivity
- Decreases stress
- Helps you not forget what is important
- Everything you need in one spot
The different types of planners are:
- monthly
- monthly/weekly
And many planners are "goal-setting" focused, which are a great help.
I am a very visual person so I love being able to see how a month is laid out. I can see if we are over scheduling and make sure that we are careful to have breathing room in our calendar. I also like that it gives me a mind map of where we are headed.

Those planners look nice. I use Homemaker's Friend planner by Sue Hooley. It has many features to keep me focused but by far my favorite are the scriptures for the week.
While I'm a bit behind too, I'm guessing you really aren't looking for a planner for 2010,,,,wait I might have one here for you if you are! :) (hugs)
Here is a couple to consider. The illustrations and information in this one are invaluable. While I have another refillable planner, I plan on using this one as a prayer journal/spiritual journal.

And if I weren't just refilling my Michael's planner from last year at a discount price, I'd definitely be interested in this:

Dear Regina,
Yes, we love Sue's planner too and just recently did a giveaway on it!
Dear Unknown,
We will definitely check those links out - thanks for stopping by!
I love those pens!
I have never seen those markers before. Thank you for sharing them. Now I need them for my planner. I usually just create my own. I have used the Homemaker's Friend planner before as well.
Dear Christi,
Yes, the pens are great. We like the Homemaker's Friend planner too and have shared about them often on the blog! Have a blessed week!
