Winter Slow Cooker Corn Chowder

Are you experiencing a cold and snowy winter?  So far, for our family, we have had a very mild winter. But what better way to pass the time and enjoy the colder weather than with some hearty soups and stews! Today we are sharing this special Winter Slow Cooker Corn Chowder, that you might want to try. It is hearty and chock full of yummy goodness and perfect for a chilly day,

INGREDIENTS

6-8 slices of  cooked bacon
1 cup chopped onion
6-8 cups diced potatoes or tater tots
2 packages frozen organic corn (10 oz. each)
2 16 oz. cream style corn
2 cans green chiles
1 8 oz sour cream
1 tbsp garlic powder
salt and pepper to taste
2 boxes organic chicken broth
2 cups water (add more if desired)

DIRECTIONS

Dump it all into your slow cooker and cook on high for 6-7 hours.

You can garnish with cheese, sour cream and cilantro.

I hope you enjoy it!

We love using our crockpots and find it saves time and money. It is also a life saver come dinner time if you have been out and about all day!

I have several of the types of cookbooks for inspirations. The one of the left has tons of recipes that are a blessing!
