The Beginning of Fall--Our Trip to the Apple Orchard

I know that fall doesn't begin for another two weeks, but for our family nothing signifies the official beginning of fall more than a trip to the apple orchard to get our traditional apple cinnamon and pumpkin donuts.

These are the MOST savory donuts I have tasted anywhere and this orchard is more famous for them than they are for their apples! We used to know the previous owners who were so sweet and it was Christian owned.

My cute boys!

In this area they have a small farm animal area where you can feed goats, horses, llamas, calves, and more.

Did you ever have that weird feeling like someone is watching you?

I found this little apple dumpling when I was there!
Isn't he sweet?

They also have a corn maze, tractor rides, a mechanical dinosaur that smashes pumpkins in its mouth and his eyes light up.

And this smaller kid hay bale maze.. What a great idea for the younger ones, I could really use one of these in my backyard.

They have viewing windows so you can watch the workers make the taffy apples, pies, and donuts. I have to tell you that their apple cider is ah-mazing. AH-MAZING!

My favorite part of it all is shopping in the barn's country store. They have everything you can think of from pumpkin butter, honey, kettle corn, pickles, apple butter, toasted pecan syrup (the hubby's favorite), caramel pecan pies (another favorite), smores, toys, fall and Christmas decor and more.

We split the kids up and give them a little cash so they can all buy something. They have so much fun running around picking something out. Really, it's all about the little things, isn't it?

Usually the front of this place is packed with pumpkins and mums but I think it might be a bit too early for that yet. They also have a pumpkin house that is really nice to see every year that the kids like to run through and take pictures at. We will have to stop by again when they have it set up.

Last year we got to ride the moo-choo train rides (yes, even my husband and I squeezed ourselves into one of their carts) but this year we got there too late and we missed it.

Today after we do some school I plan on decorating our house in a cozy fall theme. I can't wait to light up some pumpkin candles and get in the mood!

Hope you enjoyed our pictures!

Do you have any fall traditions to bring in the season?

Encouraged here?

I love county line orchard! They have the best pumpkin donuts in the world. It has also been exciting to watch their business grow. I no longer live in the region, but I use to take my kids there every year. Thank you for sharing , God Bless!!
