Please Help This Sweet Widow--Mae Raymond

Dear Friends,

I am writing to share with you about a sweet sister in Christ, Mae Raymond, who unexpectedly lost her dear husband on Tuesday, February 5th. He left Mae and their young son behind, reeling from their deep loss. Mae’s husband had been out of work for a year, living off of a small military pension. Having been without work, the family, understandably, had to cut back on expenses, one of which was their life insurance policies. His sudden death now leaves Robert’s widow, Mae, and son, with very little income with which to live (think less than a couple of hundred dollars per month).

Mae homeschools their son and has a small business making soaps and other body products, but will no longer be able to leave her son to do shows or fairs. She is hoping to build her on-line business…. And this is where we need your help!

If you are able to help Mae in her current difficult and challenging trial now being a widow, it would be such a blessing. She could use some extra income to help support her and her small son and also for purchasing supplies to continue her soap business. If you are able to please donate something it would be of such great help.

In the past the Lord has used this blog to raise money through donations for different needs (like this and this), and we want you to know that all monies raised goes directly to the family. We kindly ask that you would pray and ask the Lord if you could participate in helping Mae some way. Remember that no donation is too small. Even $5 helps!!!

We thank you so much in advance for any help you can give--we appreciate our readers, their generosity, and are thankful for opportunities where we can alert others to help the body the Christ. Please keep her in your prayers in that God would supply all their needs and comfort them through their time of grieving.

**Note: Please do not make any purchases through her business at this time until she can build her supply.**

"Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world." James 1:27

Please have her check into social security. She should be able to get widows monthly benefits and also for each child which will help.

Bless you, June for doing this. Mae is such a dear woman-- a true Titus 2 mentor to some of us. Thanks for helping her :-)

If her church is anything like ours, there is a diaconal ministry to help people in precisely her situation. Outside of that, the local food pantry, those EBT cards some non-Christian folk are only too happy to use, etc. I can't afford much myself now, but pray for her to be helped.

depends on how the Military benefits were signed up for.. she could be able to receive them, She needs to check, especially for her child.

Would you be able to let us know when she's ready for us to purchase items from her business? I too am a single, homeschooling mom with my own business and I'd love to support her this way. :)
Kindly, Kristyn.
