The Hard Days

Did you just ever wake up to encounter a day that was just flat out HARD?

I've had them before and have even shared them with you. But I know that somedays you just feel like those hard days won't end. They seem to last day after day and feel as if they are just getting worse. What do you do with those days that make you just feel like running off permanently to some far off place far away?

Mamas, I know your struggles. I know your challenges. I have been there.

I have even cried your tears.

Friends, you are not alone. Whether it be challenges in parenting, marriage, health, or otherwise---just know that there are millions of women out there who share what you are going through. Many of them can share their feelings publicly-blog or write entire books it all and yet---there are many of them that cannot. The ones who can't share publicly do not do it out of pride, but instead are healing from hurtful pasts and struggle to share even the smallest transparencies of their life. Pray for these women who struggle this way because they often carry heavy burdens on their shoulders all alone and need love and support just as any other.

To the mother struggling with financial hardship--we know your pain, your deep desire to get out of debt, to help your husband, to respect your husband and support him. We know what you go without, and what you need. We know...

To the mother struggling with illness--we know the long days that feel like they won't end, we know how you pray intensely minute by minute that God would take your illness from you, we know how much you want to be all that you can be for your family and  yet cannot. We know...

To the mother struggling with her marriage--whether it be dealing with arguments, loss of passion, disrespect, or finding out your husband is straying and feeling like your home is falling apart. We know...

To the mother struggling with her children--it might feel like your season of littles will never end and that you can barely breath because of all the demands and responsibility placed on you. Or maybe you have rebellious child that has broken your heart. We know...

To the working mother who comes home tired and then wearily faces her her endless duties at home and then cries quietly alone at work just wanting to come home to take her of her children. We know...

To the single mother who is struggling to raise her children by herself, and doesn't know how she will make ends meet and how she will feed the children next week. We know...

We know your pain and are praying for you. You are not lost and forgotten. You are loved by an almighty God and who predestined these days to bring Him glory. So many of what we cannot see at the time will be clearer to us years later. And because of that we need to keep all things in perspective and TRUST.

It is so hard to trust.

It is so hard not to have fear.

It is so hard not to give up.

But ladies, believe me, this will all be used to His glory in making you become more like Him.

I promise.

Just stay on the path and keep your hope and eyes on Him.

{SUPER BIG HUGS} Yes, I am reaching through the screen right now and hugging you!!!

Beautiful! Thank you for the encouragement that we, as wives and mothers, are not alone in our struggles and the reminder to stand in the gap for one another.

Many Blessings.

Thank you Miss June. This is exactly what I needed to be reminded of this morning. In my struggles, I'm not alone. There are other mother's out there who feel the same way I do. And, I'm not alone because God is with me. :)

Thanks! This actually helps me to be grateful, to remember there are women who have it much more difficult than I do.

You have no idea how much I needed this post today. My husband lost his job two days ago. I am a stay-at-home mother, trying to raise my children for God. I got up this morning so depressed and discouraged. I had a good long cry before I faced my children. I asked God for encouragement and then read your blog. Thank you so much.

Dearest Becky,

I have just said a special prayer for you today. The Lord knows just what you need and He hasn't forgotten you and won't in the future. I pray that your husband will find work soon and that you and your family will be provided for the entire time.

Many ((((((big hugs))))) sent out your way!

We should all be more supportive and less judgemental (myself included. The best advice I ever heard was to treat everyone as if they are having a hard time because most likely they are!

This also reminded me of the book Heidi. I read it for the first time to my children while my husband was deployed and we were living overseas. There is a passage where the grandmother tells Heidi that if she can't tell anyone else what is upsetting her she can always tell God. I bawled and sobbed through the whole thing! My son was 4 at the time told me he hated that book because it made me cry too much!

Today is one of those hard days, so I really appreciate the encouragement. I've mentioned from time to time on my blog that we struggle with infertility, and today has just been one of those emotional days.

What a precious lady you are. Very encouraging words. Yes, at times it does seem like we want to run away and hide we're so discouraged. Or we feel alone, or don't understand our circumstances. That's where I've been the past few months. A fiery trial has tried my faith and challenged what I thought I believed for the past 32 years. Never quite been there before but I must believe God has a purpose for it and it's for my good even though I can't figure it out right now. Thank you for your encouraging words, they are true and in my heart I know that. Please continue to fill your blog with love and wisdom. You have the gift of being able to caress hearts with your words.

My prayers going up for Becky too, I sure know how you feel, living a good long life I have experienced much of all things that most women go though, this is such an encouraging post, and always know no matter what you are going through, God is there, he knows your heartbreak, your pain, your needs, just trust in him, Hugs

Thanks! In the words of encouragement right now - too - I had a great need!
It's good to know that many women are struggling with similar problems, we can help each other, but the key to God's embrace us.
God bless you!

Thank you, I have fit in many of those catigories at one time or another. I am the one who also, feels it is not right for me to share all the bad things online. Thank you for your prayers as I pray for you and others too.

Thank you so much for this post...it was beautiful! I've been going through quite a few of those things myself...esp. the health and being depressed because I can't do everything I want and need to do. Sometimes it is, just totally overwhelming and depressing. I've been trying very hard to focus on another dear friend who is suffering with health problems too..we've been praying together daily. This was so sweet and so sincere..and such a wonderful reminder to me..to not give up :)
Thanks for reaching out to all of us who are feeling so down. I know God has a reason for all things and that he will see me through..but it's nice to know that others care and are praying for you...
Love and Blessings to you!!

Thank you for this post! I am going through a very rough season in life (financial hardship, struggling with my 4-year-old and my 22-month-old, struggling with my homemaking--all because I have had a very rough pregnancy, and I still have 2.5 months left!), and this helps SO much.
