Christian mothers carry their children in hostile territory.
When you are in public with them, you are standing with, and defending, the objects of cultural dislike.
You are publicly testifying that you value what God values,
and that you refuse to value what the world values.
You stand with the defenseless and in front of the needy.
You represent everything that our culture hates,
because you represent laying down your life for another—
and laying down your life for another represents the gospel.

I have been a frequent visitor to your blog for over a year now.... it leaves me as refreshed as a cool drink of water and as comforted as a snuggle under a down comforter! You might, however, be surprised by the fact that I *love* your writing and your words of wisdom and encouragement: I am an atheist and a political liberal (very liberal....) but I'm also a full time stay at home mom who adores her children and her husband and is committed to keeping them at the center of her life! You just never know whose hearts you will touch in the blogosphere. Thank you for your writings!
