When your body is betraying you and your mind is spinning.
Hold on.
When hope seems like it is light years away and strength is disappearing.
Hold on.
When your relationships are crumbling and your feeling all alone.
Hold on.
When life is throwing death at you from every direction and you think that's all there is left.
Hold on.
When you feel your faith is fruitless and that it's all a farce.
Hold on.
When you feel like giving up, don't give in to those feelings.
Hold on.
Keep watching and praying, Keep trusting and believing. Keep singing and offering the sacrifice of praise. Don't let go of what you know is true. Don't let the lies rob you of your joy and don't let the devil deceive you. Hold on, Hold on, Hold on.
Help is on the way!
Hold on to Jesus, He's holding on to you.
If I take the wings of the dawn, If I dwell in the remotest part of the sea, Even there Your hand will lead me and Your right hand will lay hold of me.
- Psalm 139:9-10
I wanted to share this good word with you ladies this morning---

Thank you so much for this needed bit of encouragement!
what an encouraging poem. Thank you for posting this!
Thank you so much for posting this today. I needed this. Especially the first sentence. I have been having problems with my body since March 09. One problem was solved now I am getting ready to undergo surgery to solve the other problem tomorrow. Please keep me in your prayers that I have a successful surgery & that I don't let the problems from my body, get me down.
God Bless!!!

I, too, needed this right this moment. This part, "When your relationships are crumbling and your feeling all alone. Hold on."
was exactly what I needed. I have 2 important friendships that are crumbling and I don't know when or if they will get resolved. I have felt alone and unloveable through this and it really hurts. Thanks! I love your blog.
Thank you for this great encouragement - we're fighting sickness in our home; both hubby and baby down past few days but I'm HOLDING on! Thanks :)
very true and encouraging. x
Thank you! I needed to hear every line that you shared today. Thank you very much!
Beautiful Post ~Thanks for sharing ~Blessings Heather :)
Thank you so much for sharing this. My husband of 7 1/2 years is now gone. He is about to hopefully go to prison for what he has done.
Life feels dark and horrible on the weekends. Each one progressively getting worse.
I needed this so desperately tonight. Thank you so much.
"Hold on to Jesus, He's holding on to you."
Thank you. This is exactly what I needed to read...
Blessings,
Luci
Words of encouragement when times are tough:)
Good morning, I actually did a blog hop and some how ended up here. First, your blog is beautiful as purple of any shade is my absolute favorite color.
But the poem spoke deeply into my heart, and may I have your permission to print it off. It realy hit home and I am holding on.
Lovingly,
Yolanda

I just wanted you to know how thankful I am you posted this. I was sitting on my bed, crying, talking to dh over all the events that just took place. How can I be sailing through my morning one minute and yelling and in tears the next??? (no need to answer ;-)
Anyway, I was mindlessly checking blogs, sort of in a stupor and I read this poem. Perfect timing, perfect truth. Thank you. Don't you just love when God has you post something and it touches hearts!!??
Have a lovely day. I am going to pray, praise and rest and start afresh. Thanks again.
clinging to His Faithfulness,
Michelle
I was just praying this mornig tellin God that I am tired of caring, tired of feeling like my work is pointless , but thank you for this reminder that Jesus is holding on to me. Amen
I found your blog surfing today. It is very nice with beautiful pictures and encouraging, thanks and God bless!
I really like the pictures you pick to put along with your post. They are always so pretty.
Where do you get them from?
Brenda
THank you!
Thank you for the beautiful poem. Life has been such a struggle lately, and i have felt discouraged. We have been dealing with no water off and on for over 3 weeks, a blizzard, an ice storm, no power for 5 days, and then the news today, we are losing our limited water supply.
I have felt like sitting down and having a good long cry, but i don't have any energy to spare...God is good and we will persevere
THIS MADE ME THINK OF THE YOUTH, I TEACH THE 16-17 YEARS OLDS AND IT'S A CRAZY WORLD OUT THERE BUT THEY ARE STRONG AND DOING WELL, I'M SO PROUD OF THEM!
Thank you
I have been feeling quite discouraged and depressed lately with many issues and thoughts that I am dealing with presently. Thank you for posting this encouraging poem. I am going to print it out and put it somewhere so I can read it often whenever I get discouraged.
~Mrs. Lady Sofia~
Thank you for your postings. I enjoy reading them from time to time.
Titus 2 Ministries used to have an excellent article entitled, “The First Harsh Word.” At one time, I think you linked to if from your blog. The Titus 2 Ministries website is no longer coming up. Do you happen to have the article saved on your computer or do you know of any way I could get a hold of the article?
Dear Westernwooodburner,
If you type into my search box (upper left hand corner) the words 'A Calm Voice Governs', it will show the post to it. Unfortunately, only a paragraph was copied of the original article. I think I did make my own personal copy of it somewhere around here at home though. You are right--it was excellent and I am sad to see that their site is no longer accessible.
Many blessings...
Thank you so much for sharing this. I've been so busy w/ finishing things around the house we recently purchased, and have just not made time like I should for the Word, and am feeling it's effects. This poem is exactly what I needed this morning. God is so good, He knows what we need when we need it.
This was such an exciting blog to run into today! I love meeting other Christian blogger moms and felt very encouraged reading it.
My first time here I'm now following you - please feel free to pop by my blog some time.
Thank you for posting this; from the comments left by others God has used this post to lift them up and bring comfort.
Blessings to you all.
Take Care,

Thank you. I truly needed to hear this today. I was just sitting after 7 days of snow and feeling the cabin fever rolling into my soul. ...Hold on! Hold on.
What a LOVELY blog! I was just praying this morning for a blog of stay at home christian moms that could feed me on all levels. I am a mother of 5...4 girls...I am looking forward to reading your entries on your little women. = )
Peace of the Lord,
Cheryl
