Maria Sue-A Father's Heart
In case you haven't heard, the youngest daughter of Steven Curtis Chapman was tragically killed in an auto accident on their driveway on May 21st. Apparently, she was struck by her older brother driving a vehicle and he didn't see her on the driveway. She is the one on Steven's lap in the photo above.
Makes you wonder about the will of God for his children. Makes you feel very vulnerable. I often think of my own children while at work and how blessed I am to have them, but how fragile life is and that one day any of them could be taken away by the hand of God. How would I handle that? How would you handle that? I guess we'll never really know unless we have to face that in our lives.
May God's grace cover the Chapman family during this time and may this tragedy be used for the benefit of others and for the glory of God.
This song was written for his daughter a few months back. It seems very prophetic now...It's called "Cinderella". She had just blown out candles for her 5th birthday ten days before. Be sure to have the tissue box ready...

Sad for the family, but God will give them the strength to get through it. Our prayers are with them.
Thanks for including the link about driveway safety...I've sent it to my daughter. I've been a nervous Nanny since this has happened!
