Christmas Canon

We have been enjoying The Christmas Canon by the Trans-Siberian Orchestra on the radio lately and I'd thought I'd share it with you if you have never heard it before. It is very beautiful.

(Note: The original video I had up is no longer available, so this is the other version minus the lyrics and train.)

the entire TSO cd is excellent, it's called "Christmas Eve and other stories". My husband and I bought it the first Christmas we were married, and every year we listened to it while decorating the tree.

The Christmas Canon is beautiful. Have the CD playing in our vehicle on a regular basis--even when it's not the Christmas season. LOL

Blessings,
Paula

Regarding TSO, please read the Editorial Review at Amazon to find out more about what this group sings about:

Note: "Jesus' unfinished work???"

Dear Anonymous,

For some reason the link didn't post here, but I was able to view it through my inbox. Very interesting---I wonder what they thought Jesus didn't finish?

Many blessings...

Mrs. Fuentes:
Here is a quote from the review, and it sounds like it means he didn't finish redemption for mankind. So it is done by an "angel" instead:

"Like its predecessors, The Lost Christmas Eve tells the story of heaven's youngest angel called back to earth to continue Jesus' unfinished work. This time he lands in New York City to help redeem not only Christmas, but the soul of humankind itself . . . "

Last year I had heard one of their songs, the one that went with the Christmas Light House, and liked the song so much, I thought of ordering the CD, but then I looked into the band, and my conscience would not permit me. I guess I'm just very picky:) I haven't heard any more of their music, but just hesitated to order due to what I have read. I guess I'm on the same page as Scott Brown when he mentions on his blog (if you are familiar with him) the Beatles.

Thanks for allowing me to post. Not meaning to be confrontational, just be careful with anything that may compromise the Gospel:)

Here is the link to Scott Brown's comments regarding Beatles:

Also, he has an interesting radio interview regarding the same subject (althoug for some odd reason it starts over in the middle of the broadcast . . . unless it has been fixed). A worthy listen.

Dear Beth,

Thanks for the heads up, I'm not sure why it is no longer available but I put up a different version to enjoy.
