The Special Touches

Good Morning Ladies! I was wondering if you wouldn't mind sharing with the world what special touches and loving ways you build up your husband. Whether it's starting his car for him in the morning or adding fresh fruit to his breakfast...no act of love can be too small--actually isn't it the small things that count? ~smile~...we would love to hear from you to get great ideas and become wonderfully inspired!

I like to buy those little $.49 greeting cards at the store and write "love notes" to put in his lunch box when I pack his lunch. :o)

Probably the best thing I do for the building up of my husband is that I center my ENTIRE schedule around him and his schedule and needs. Everyone that knows me knows that my life revolves around this man of mine and since he is a Pastor, the manner in which I am a help to him changes every day! Some days the nicest thing I do is keep myself busy and faithful to God while my husband is busy tending to the needs of so many others. Some days I am cooking a big breakfast, going out to dinner, shopping all day, taking an afternoon nap with him, helping to clean the church, making hospital visits . . . the list is endless, but my husband KNOWS beyond a shadow of a doubt that he has my FULL support for anything that he has planned.

One thing I do is take a big glass of ice water to him while he's mowing the lawn. I loved doing this for my daddy when I was growing up, and now I teach my daughters to take water to their daddy when he is working hard.

I love to greet my husband when he comes home from work. It is my joy to know that after a long hard day at work he can come home and smile at his family.

My husband is a big fan of "The Family Man" - Todd Wilson. Recently, I took one of my lipsticks and wrote a Family Man phrase on his side of the bathroom mirror. It was a lot of fun and showed my support and encouragement for my husband. He still has it up. :)

Nothing blesses my husband more than my time to listen to him and share our thoughts together, especially after a difficult or trying circumstance he has had to face. Comradery(sp?) between a husband and wife is priceless:)

I'm a little late posting, but I have been folding my husband's "at home" clothes (that he changes into when he gets home in the evenings) and placing them right by the door with his house shoes. Then I help him hang up his work clothes and take his lunchbag to the kitchen. Today I even baked cookies to have the house smell nice and left a heart shaped one by his clothes :) I am thankful for the inspiration, ladies!

Sometimes I realize that it's been quite awhile since I've ministered to my husband of 18 years with a loving touch, which means so much to him. Stress momentarily drops away as I rub a moisturizer into his back, and it blesses me to see him visibly relax.
