It is important for families to spend time together. It strengthens bonds and helps turn hearts towards one another. One of the ways our family like to spend time together is by going on 'mini-vacations' to various places. This weekend we are visiting Mishawaka, Indiana. There is a family-integrated church there led by Pastor Wesco and his dear family that we just love to visit. By 'family-integrated' we mean that the church worships together as a family (children attending worship and teaching time). What a beautiful picture to visit this church and see whole families learning the Word of God! An even more beautiful picture is witnessing the Wesco sons and daughters lead worship, teach Sunday school, be ushers, and one is even the associate pastor! This family works together as a team to love and serve the Lord. They work hard to bring the Word of God through music, plays and art. It is exciting to see parents and their children working side by side to bring glory to the Lord. When we visit they often offer for us to stay at their grandmothers home. Their Christian hospitality speaks volumes to us and teaches us so much more than words can say. Here is a picture of them:
When we visit this church we are encouraged and inspired as we learn the Word of God and see the bigger picture of what we would like for our family one day. A picture of sons being men and upholding Christ and feminine daughters helping to build their fathers home and church for our King. What more would any parent want?! We have alot to learn from this family!
