The weather has been pretty amazing here-- so we have been out and about and soaking up all the sun rays and fresh air. We had a chance to visit this beautiful lake and spend some time there as a family:
This particular lake is much larger and goes out to the left of the picture but you can't tell here. It even has a trail to walk around it. It was a nice, quiet, and peaceful visit for me and the kids.
We even took some time out this weekend and headed out to a suburb with a huge zoo--we had no idea it was a free day and it was jam packed because of the nice weather. But it was so fun and we would do it again because little Bella could not get enough of these giraffes. There were four of them and they got pretty close to us, but by the time I thought to take a picture two of them had already run off.
Here was the cake, hall and some of the refreshments. It was a great time and I also got to meet the newest addition, a new baby from my nephew! She was adorable and I got to hold her. I can't get over how teeny new babies are, they are just too precious!
