Weekend Highlights: New Design, Calming Your Anxious Heart, Teaching Children to be Peacemakers, Not Finishing in Homeschool & More

Today we have plenty of encouraging things to share on our Wise Woman Weekend Highlights!

In case you haven't noticed we have a new look around here!

We have replaced our old header with a new one and I really like the new feel. I hope you do too. We have always had a "woman in white" theme around here for the 10 years and glad to still keep it.  Here is our new button below:

And let us know what you think of our new look in the comments!

Here are some posts of interest around the web that you might want to check out while you are relaxing this weekend:

4 Reasons To Be Still and Calm Your Anxious Heart - "But truthfully I think as adults we complain more than our children and it is ugly.  The complainer tells God that what his Hand has given is not good enough. Who are we to accuse God of something like that? We act as though our wisdom and knowledge is so spectacular that God Himself would do well if He listened to us. This is not boldness on our part, but the highest form of foolishness."

Four Ways to Teach Young Children to be Peacemakers -It’s tempting to focus on behavior but not the heart. It’s possible to raise children who don’t cause us trouble but don’t know how to work through conflicts biblically. It’s possible to raise children who know how to avoid conflict but don’t understand their own hearts. It’s possible to raise children who get along with others but don’t think they need Jesus."

It's Okay if You Don't Finish It All -"As the end of the school year approaches, I just wanted to encourage you that it’s okay if you don’t finish it all! It’s easy to stress about too much book left at the end of the year, especially when the weather is too pretty not to be outside!"

I am browsing through several different books on my phone when I get time at night when the baby is nursing and here is one of them that I am currently enjoying:

The Best Yes: Making Wise Decisions in the Midst of Endless Demands is a pretty interesting read that I think you will definitely be blessed by if you get a chance to read it!

Our most popular post this past week was:

I also just recently created a new Pinterest board for decorating Baby Nursery Decorating Ideas. Since I don't have the space in our home to do it right now I thought I would make a board with ideas for the future. There are SO MANY cute ideas be sure to stop by and visit!

Just a heads up--the Lilla Rose sale is almost over and ends at midnight tonight so you still have a little time:

And I would like to finish with  a quote that I am pondering on this weekend:

"So don’t ignore the physical danger of busyness. Just remember the most serious threats are spiritual. When we are crazy busy, we put our souls at risk. The challenge is not merely to make a few bad habits go away. The challenge is not to let our spiritual lives slip away". - Kevin DeYoung

Have a blessed weekend!
