"Queen of the Home" Now Available as eBook {& Giveaway}!

My sweet friend and author, Jen McBride,  has updated and revised her book, Queen of the Home, and is now making it available in eBook format! I was honored to be one of the contributors to this book when it first released so I am glad to see it become an eBook.

Here is a description of it for our new readers if you haven't heard of it yet:

This powerful collection of essays, poetry and quotes will renew your vision, refresh your spirit and remind you of the might and worth of your calling.

"In past generations, the role of wife and mother was viewed as a sacred calling. The committed homemaker was seen as strong, capable, intelligent, and irreplaceable. She was regarded not only as a crucial part of the home, but as a foundational bulwark of society. She was considered worthy of great honor, appreciation, and respect.

Though in recent years feminism has sought to demean this glorious calling, the Bible’s hopeful vision of noble womanhood is one worth reclaiming. Queen of the Home seeks to cast that vision afresh through godly encouragements from writers past and present. This inspiring collection of essays, poetry, and poignant vignettes paints a beautiful picture of what it means for a woman to be a crown to her husband, the monarch of the cradle, and queen of the home, and calls upon daughters to embrace their rewarding role and sacred calling as regal women of God."

The roles of mother and grandmother remain 'the sacred calling' of my life. God has gifted me with these roles and with His help I pass on what He is still teaching me to my son, daughters and to their children.

Because I did not grow up in a Christian home where godly roles were taught, I am learning as an adult from Christian women & authors to mentor me in God's high calling of Biblical womanhood. What a special resource this would be to refer to as I learn from Titus 2 women who seek to model God's ways for otehrs.-April L.

This ebook sounds wonderful! How refreshing in a society that looks down on us with pity for staying home with our children, especially when we homeschool.

Wife and mother has been the answer to "what do you want to be when you grow up?" All my life. It's a challenging role and one I sometimes struggle to keep positive about, but I wouldn't trade it for anything

I would love to read this book and then pass on to my daughter and daughter in law! It's up to all of us to pass on all of our traditions and the positive way to raise our children and grandchildren. They will in turn know how to pass all of it on to theirs and beyond! :) <3
