We all have choices we need to make on a daily basis.
Some days are easy and some days are just really tough.
I can relate.
And one of the most challenging topics for Christian women is the topic of meekness. Most of us do not naturally gravitate toward having a meek spirit.
If we are honest, we might struggle on a daily basis with this--we want to REACT to our problems and struggle in many ways with the mastering and the governing of ourselves. That is why I feel it is so important to study it in depth. I love how Nancy Leigh Demoss shared recently on this topic in her The Beauty of Meekness series.
Here is an excerpt:
"... it relates to those who are under us—this may be if we are parents or teachers or employers and we have people that are reporting to us or people we are leading, people who are under our authority—if we’re not meek, we will tend to be quick to correct them and quick to find fault.
We become more aware of other people’s shortcomings and their deficiencies than we are of the evidences of grace in their lives. Then what happens is that the people that are under us feel that they can never please us. Some of you, your children feel that way.
