Reaping What We Sow

When we faithfully instruct
our children in their daily routine,
we must remember that we can do this
 with feminine gentleness
 instead of brash harshness...

with His persuasive LOVE instead of destructive anger.

And keep in mind that powerful truth--

that we will indeed reap
what we sow.

"Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.  Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.  Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up."

 -Galations 6:7-9

I love the illustration of heaping burning coals upon others head as a picture of pouring love upon others will melt hardened hearts.

My prayer is that I will be a gentle Mama with my words. I just read a few weeks ago how man's anger does not bring about the righteous life that God desires in us. Great post today!

Hello Mrs. Fuentes, I've been following your blog for years now and have really been blessed by it many times. I feel like I know you even thought we've never meet. We have recently move to the southern part of Michigan from Kansas and while looking for a family integrated church I realized that you were only a couple of hours away. I went to your new church web-site and notice that you are having a gathering this coming Saturday. Is this open to other families wanting to visit? We were just thinking about maybe going to visit and having an opportunity to meet you as well.
The Lord bless you!
