A New Beginning

Welcome friends!

You are at the right place---it's still A Wise Woman Builds Her Home but just with a new look and a bit of a makeover. Don't worry, we haven't done away with heart and soul of the blog and we are still certainly keeping the Victorian look, that will probably never change since those are the things we truly love...just with a bit more of a modern feel!

We are not done yet (as you can tell) so please be patient and pardon our dust and we will be back to normal in no time!

I was so sad when I went to your beautiful blog of wisdom this morning. I will truly miss the beautiful roses, your blog was the most visually beautiful of all the many I follow. I came because of the words, love and peace of written words and will continue to do so. I hope it will still be unique in time period visual post. Thank you for everything you bless us with. Sincerely Tana

It is lovely, June. I was just thinking this week when I came across your previous background while searching for a new one for me, that you've had yours for long time and wondered if you would ever update and then you did! :)

Love the red roses!

I was definitely needing more space and felt that last template and design felt somewhat dated even though I loved the roses and will miss them too. We also wanted something that had a clean look to it but still keeping with the Victorian theme, just more modern with all important info above the fold.

On our test blog, the header title came out much clearer and darker than here so it looks like we will have to redo that and a few other things but I am happy with it and will be tweaking it to become a much more beautiful place for everyone later today!

Many blessings..

I love the roses! I think it looks a bit more fresh than your previous template. I miss the Bible verse...I always enjoyed reading it even though I know it by heart. Maybe it is still coming? Victorian pictures are wonderful and I have always loved seeing them in your blog. Where do you find them? Do you pay for the use?
Just know that your words have been an encouragement to me many many times! Thank you!

You might check to make sure that you saved your header as a PNG file, rather than a regulat JPEG image. JPEGs get blurred due to loss of information when you transfer it for internet uses.

The blog looks great thus far! I look forward to seeing the finished product! :-)

Blessings,
KallyLyn

I, too, loved the roses. However, as I age my eyesight is impacted. All of your pictures heading your posts are beautiful and inspirational. This larger format for them is wonderful! I can see so much more detail. This is more of a good thing.

Ceuson,

I agree, my eyes seem as though they are getting weaker with age and like you I simply adore the larger image of the art. It makes you appreciate all the hard work they put into their masterpieces.

Many blessings...

Dear Tana,

I know that many loved how the blog looked before, but I have been sensing for some time that it needed an upgrade on design. Trust me, you will get used to it in no time! :) And yes, we will still stay true to the Victorian theme the blog has had since day one!

Many blessings...

I absolutely love your blog and how you've changed it up.

I've been a follower for years.

My only "negative" thought could be that there are so many posts on one page that it takes my computer forever to load your blog up. But that could just be me.

Your blog is such a blessing to my life...thank you so much!!!!!!!
