A Wise Woman is Steadfast

When the waves of life threaten to come crashing in around you, dear mother, are you steadfast?

Are you steadfast in your marriage?

Are you steadfast in your parenting?

Are you steadfast with your walk in the Lord?

Do you allow others to control your emotions, to hit your buttons, and determine the course of your day?

Allowing your emotions to to be like a rollercoaster  and/or easily deceived by the enemy?

"...so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes. " Ephesians 4:14

As Christian mothers it is imperative that we close the door to all sorts of evilness, sin and false accusations whether it is against us, Our God, or our convictions, or our way of life. The things that can rob us of our focus and have us stray from the Lord.

Here are some verses to help you as a reminder:

Psalm 51:10
Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.

Psalm 57:7
My heart is steadfast, O God, my heart is steadfast; I will sing and make music.

Psalm 108:1
My heart is steadfast, O God; I will sing and make music with all my soul.

Psalm 111:7-8
The works of his hands are faithful and just; all his precepts are trustworthy. They are steadfast for ever and ever, done in faithfulness and uprightness.

Psalm 112:6-8
Surely he will never be shaken; a righteous man will be remembered forever. He will have no fear of bad news; his heart is steadfast, trusting in the LORD. His heart is secure, he will have no fear; in the end he will look in triumph on his foes.

Psalm 119:4-6
You have laid down precepts that are to be fully obeyed. Oh, that my ways were steadfast in obeying your decrees! Then I would not be put to shame when I consider all your commands.

Isaiah 26:3-4
You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you. Trust in the LORD forever, for the LORD, the LORD, is the Rock eternal.

1 Peter 5:9-11
Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings. And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. To him be the power for ever and ever. Amen.

Don't allow yourselves to be shaken.

Be strong for the task, dear mothers, for it is the Lord Jesus you are serving.

Thank you for this post! When we as women follow Biblical truth and joyfully do God's Will for our lives....Satan will try to discourage us/attack us! Remember he wants to destroy our families....and may we know truth and stand firm, and see the attacks (with our husband's wise insight too!) and pray for our enemies. I recently experienced this with someone who I thought was a friend....

Dear Stephanie,

So sad to hear that would come through a friend. Praying for healing in your heart and your relationship.

Many blessings...

Stephanie- I can relate. In addition to attacks coming through friends, I get it also through extended family (some of them believers!) and through my husband who is not a believer.
You are so right about praying for our enemies. It makes us more Christlike to pray through the hurt. It's difficult to see loved ones so deceived, isn't it? Yet we know that at one time we were also deceived.

June- This post really lifted my spirit today. I needed to hear this so much.
