When Motherhood Feels Too Hard eBook {& Giveaway} and $1 for 1 Day!

My sweet friend, Kelly Crawford, over at Generation Cedar just released her new ebook today entitled Devotions, Advice and Renewal for When Motherhood Feels Too Hard.

Kelly shares:

"I know about the days when you want to give up. I know about feelings of helplessness as you face your failures day after day. But I also know about a resolve that can be planted in the heart of every saint to bear them up on those days and give them what they need to carry out the task to which they have been called.

This book is full, and it will fill you too. Practical tips for getting through a busy day, real devotions that address why our spiritual strength is often zapped and how to get it back, and constant refreshing of the vision–our lifeblood for this mission field–it’s all here and generations can be changed by it."

“This eBook is Kelly’s “cup of cold water” to mothers. We all need refreshment and encouragement when the hard days come, and Kelly has provided bite-sized (but meaty and thought-provoking) daily devotionals that urge us to take our calling as mothers seriously but remember at the same time that we are vessels of clay in need of God’s filling. These words are true whether you are the mother of one or the mother of ten! Thank you, Kelly, for sharing your beautiful insights into the calling of motherhood “from the trenches!” -Jennie Chancey, Ladies Against Feminism

  1. What makes motherhood the most challenging? For me, being the mother to 8 children ages 7 years to 15 months makes it very challenging. There are days I wish that there was more of me to go around. It is hard but extremely rewarding.

  2. The most challenging for me is maintaining a balance between disciplining my sons and giving them grace.

  4. Motherhood is challenging in that they follow my lead. I must be strong in any situation and at times that can be hard when I feel overwhelmed. I am a single stay at home mom to three children ages 12, 6, and 4...the first two boys and my daughter. I try to be fair and handle things with a calm disposition. Mothers are the basis of their children's grown-up lives so we must be ever mindful of our own actions toward ourselves, our children, and our neighbors.

  6. My greatest challenge at the moment is that my boys are growing older and I am trying to step back in my overt control. I want them to respond more to my dh. He does a good job, but it is hard for me to back off.

  7. The largest challenge is protecting my boys from worldly influences and focusing on the Lord. I also have a huge challenge towards grace and patience.

  9. My biggest challenge is dying to myself. I want to do what I want to do (things I used to do- like maintain an organized house, or go to the store quickly, or do hobbies).I can't be selfish and a God-glorifying mother.

  10. Everyday seems to bring a new challenge! For me it would be having to do everything alone. My husband is gone alot for work and I struggle with that. Being everything they need is a challenge. I already bought the e-book so I could begin to be full! Thank you for the recommendation.

  11. The most challenging aspect of motherhood is knowing I am not in control. I have to remind myself it's not just about obedience, but about directing their hearts toward God.

  12. Being patient with my sons and trying not to yell.

  13. Mine would have to be repetition! Asking and saying the same thing everyday-with what looks like no improvemnt from my kids.

  14. Consistent disciplining - very challenging for me.

  15. wondering if I'm failing at being a mother....wondering if societies influences will be what they choose to follow as we raise them to one day be Godly men and women...or maybe raising a special needs child and wondering why, he is...

  18. I am challenged with having a successful plan or lack there of. A wise woman builds her house, so she would have a wise plan of action. I rely more now on the Lord to lead with a solid plan than what I did when my older children were young. It still seems daunting some days.

  19. Most challenging thing is being consistent with training and meeting each 'upsetting thing' with a cheerful attitude.

  20. The most challenging part of motherhood is the worrying, especially when you think about the world today.

  21. Motherhood challenging for me, is really a two fold thing. 1. Being the godly example when things go crazy and everything is in a state of chaos. 2. Is the state of chaos...everyone needing me at the same time and having lots of littles w/little help.

  22. What makes motherhood challenging is having my firstborn and only boy be globally developmentally delayed and have seizures. Spending the last
4 1/2 years trying to trust that God is in control of this uncontrollable situation. Also the fact that my three children are under 5 years old and balancing all that goes along with that.

  23. most challenging is always being Christ like!

  24. I have to say I'm disappointed that I can't enter the giveaway at all because I don't participate in social media like Facebook and so cannot unlock any other entry options. (You're requiring "liking" two different Facebook pages and Rafflecopter will not let me see any other entry options unless I do those first.)

Oh well, I guess it's just not meant to be!
