41 Evidences of Pride

We all struggle with pride on some level or another.

Some hide it better than others--but even worse is when we try to deny that we are prideful--we only hurt ourselves and prevent healthy spiritual growth in our lives. In order to combat this sin we need to be aware of when it rears it ugly head.

Today I am reading over a list of 41 Evidences of Pride.

I can say...Pride is one of the toughest things I struggle with. Not to place blame...but society is filled with "We deserve" "We need" "We're entitled"...I am constantly checking myself on this one!

PS...I love Nancy Leigh...one of my favorite books is Lies Women Believe :)

What are the chances??? I wrote about pride today because I was given a 'lightbulb' moment reading another post about pride. I guess the Lord is trying to show me something...that I surely can't miss. I'm going to look at the 41 Evidences now, thanks for this!

Thanks you for sharing this list. When you think of sin almost all sin has a basis in Pride.
Blessings to you and thank for sharing!

Thank you, thank you!
Between this post & Beth Moore's Breaking Free book, my eyes are opening to the pride issue in my heart. I've always thought my low self-esteem was the complete OPPOSITE of pride, but it's a lie, and I'm recognizing this. God has been gently tugging me for the past few days to see just how much my pride hurts me, my husband, my daughter, and HIM! Again, thank you, June, for sharing this list. I'm printing it out now & stashing it it my Bible for regular check-ups. (Oh, and I'll be reading through all the other ladies' posts on pride as well. Hot topic!)

Oh how I needed this today! Thank you, thank you, thank you... May I truly let the Lord reveal my pride to me so I can confess all and that he will remove it far from me as I obey from a humble heart...
