We Cannot Remain Silent

We must not allow the voices of the world
to set the agenda for this decade,
nor must we allow those voices to teach women how to be women.

Christian women must speak with boldness and clarity about womanhoood
and must live distinctly Christian lives.
Christian women must articulate a Biblical world and life view
and the implications of this perspective for women.

...Today many women are buying into New Age philosophies
because they are looking for hope in their hopelessness.

We must not abandon these women.
We must come alongside and encourage and equip them to live for God's glory...

But we cannot do it by remaining silent.

We must speak the words of life.

So true. No matter where I go in my daily life, I come across so many people searching for some kind of meaning to their lives and the voices of the world have told them so many false things about God. I pray every day that God will use my life to show how hopeful and wonderful living for God truly is.

I haven't read the book you quote, but if this is anything to go by, it sounds like one I'll want to seek out. Thank you!

so true. and it is so important to remember to speak words of life and not words of condemnation or judgement. Sometimes we can, with very good intentions, be very condemning or come across that way. We need to be careful to remember that we are Christians and we should should share common courtesy in our efforts to present Christ and His ways.

Amen! I am so with you. We need to stand up for our values and help the world become a better place to live. I know that there are so many lost individuals out there that do not know of the love of our Heavenly Father in their lives.
Thanks for your thoughts and blessings to you!

Thank you for posting this...I really needed to hear this today. I've been avoiding addressing something with someone and this really convicted me that I need to speak up (kind of like Jonah trying to go the other way). I've been really quiet lately but I think I need to find a balance between my own Christian living and encouraging others to follow Christ in all things. Sin must be rebuked and not passed over with a blind eye. Please pray that I would have boldness and gentleness at the same time. Thank you.

I love Titus 2. Those verses are something I pray for myself almost daily. Titus 2 & Prov. 31 are the Scriptures that flood my mind when I think about biblical womanhood.

Amen! We need to be the opposite of the world. The darker the world gets the brighter our light should shine! :) We are the light of the world a city on a hill.

Well said- yes, we must walk alongside women with the love of Christ- He can do in us what we cannot do alone!

YES SISTER, I AGREE WITH YOU WHOLLY. WOMEN ARE USED AS VESSELS TO NURTURE THE FAMILY AND DO AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE TO LET OTHERS KNOW OF THE KINGDOM OF GOD IN HEAVENLY PLACES. LET GOD DO HIS WORK VIA US WHO ARE DEVOTED TO HIM ALONE.

Beautifully written! Thank you for sharing that passage!

I agree. I'm going into my mid-fifties now, and I really feel for the younger women and girls coming behind.

Our country now is so much different from what it was when I grew up, and not for the better either. :(

Thank you for the encouragement you put out daily here. It's a bright spot. :)
