Prayers for My Son----***UPDATE ADDED***

Dear friends,

I need prayer for my son, Christian (4 1/2 years old), I think he might be coming down with a rare disease (non-infectious) he once had in the past. He is showing all the symptoms and we were warned it could reoccur before he turned five. We are hoping for the best but preparing for the worst. When it had first occurred, he was only a few months old and it was a horribly scary journey for our entire family as we didn't know what it was and then later finding out that this disease could affect his heart permanently. Friends, I need your prayers for his protection, a return to health and because I need His strength today to be a strong mama (I am feeling pretty weak right now) for him. Please pray the doctors would have wisdom.

(Christian, pictured above, when he was younger)

Thank you all so much from the deepest depths of this mother's heart.

I will keep you all updated.

***UPDATE: We are back from the doctor and Christian has been diagnosed with strep throat. Praise God it was not more serious! Apparently, strep can have some of the exact same symptoms of his disease. We are keeping a close eye on him to make sure nothing else develops. We thank you ALL so much for all your support, kind words and prayers. They meant so much to us and helped encourage us get through it all. The Lord is so good and merciful. ***

  6. Dear Julie,

So wonderful to hear from you! If you are able to let your church know to pray for him I would deeply appreciate it. They all prayed for him the last time and Pastor Wesco always wanted to know how Christian was doing. Your church has been a blessing to us in so many ways and we hope to visit again very soon.

    Many blessings...

  31. " 'Yet hear now, O Jacob My servant, and Isreal whom I have chosen. Thus says the Lord who made you and formed you from the womb, who will help you: 'Fear not, O Jacob My servant; And you, Jeshurun, whom I have chosen. For I will pour water on him who is thirsty, and floods on the dry ground; I will pour My Spirit on your descendants, and My blessing on your offspring; They will spring up among grass like willows by the watercourses.' One will say, 'I am the Lord's; another will call himself by the name of Jacob; another will write with his hand, 'The Lord's' and name himself by the name of Israel. 'Thus says the Lord, the King of Isreal, And his Redeemer, the Lord of hosts: I am the First and I am the Last; Beside Me there is no God. And who can proclaim as I do? Then let him decare it and set it in order for Me, since I appointed the ancient people. And the things that are coming and shall come, let them show these to them. Do not fear, nor be afraid; have I not told you from that time, and declared it? You are My witnesses. Is there a God besides Me? Indeed there is no other Rock; I know not one.'"

  52. Wow... that's exactly what our family went through with our first child, and we found out he had Kawasakis' disease. He was just barely 2 months old, and it sure freaked us out. By the grace of God his ecg came back clean, with no residual symptoms/issues. What a time of trusting God in all things and of His provisions for us:) May you have the peace that passes understanding as you walk through this with your son. Praying for you.

  59. Just read your update June - I was praying today so thank you precious Jesus. Now praying that the strep throat also goes away.
As a child, my husband was a very sick baby afflicted with many disorders including one disease they said could recur and cause heart damage. He spent a lot of time in hospital and actually died on four occasions but was brought back - for a purpose I truly believe. He never suffered any heart damage and as a young man at 18 was miraculously saved - the first Christian in his family for many generations.
