While I don't know most of the people who have shared these beautiful words, I definitely agree with them!
Here's a quick peek of me and two of my daughters (the third is not pictured) sitting in front of a fireplace at the latest Maidens of Virtue Christmas Tea which was held at Lake Katherine botanical gardens!

Thank you for sharing these beautiful words! They are so true! I have 3 children (1 daughter-age 5, and 2 boys-ages 3 and 14 months). And while each child is dear to me in their own way, I only have 1 daughter who is the absolute light of my life. She is incredibly smart (she knew over 300 words by 18 months!), so helpful, and very loving. She can also be my most trying of children (I suppose it comes with being the oldest-lol!), but I couldn't imagine life without her. It would certainly be dull!
That was so wonderful and so true. We have 7 daughters and I agree they are treasures from heaven.
You have such lovely daughters! I am praying for a little girl myself. :)
I'm writing down these quotations into my notebook. I came to read this post just as I was just thinking about my own teenage daughter who is in Thailand right now on her first missions trip. I'm missing her presence in my home but know she is loving the opportunity she is having to share God's love. She is the sister to twins and at the orphanage she has been assigned twins to look after during her stay!
She really is a treasure to me and what a blessing it is to share that treasure with people in other parts of the world.
*Loved this*!! <3<3<3
"A mother is the truest friend we have, when trials heavy and sudden, fall upon us; when adversity takes the place of prosperity; when friends who rejoice with us in our sunshine desert us; when trouble thickens around us, still will she cling to us, and endeavor by her kind precepts and counsels to dissipate the clouds of darkness, and cause peace to return to our hearts." ~Washington Irving
=)
This one reminded me of something you would say to us...
"Grown don't mean nothing to a mother. A child is a child. They get bigger, older, but grown? What's that suppose to mean? In my heart it don't mean a thing." ~Toni Morrison
Oh, I agree, I agree, I agree!
We're blessed with 2 daughters and I 'amen' every word!
Just one thing. I gasped when I read the caption with the last photo. YOU and your daughters??? Uhhhh - I thought the first photo was of three sisters, and now I'm going back to try and figure out who YOU are! Wow!
Lovely post. Thanks for sharing (Please feel free to share the young-looking-skin secret too!)
Love, Anne (who blames the Scottish island weather for her wrinkles...er, sorry - laughter lines!)
Please pray for my treasure daughter. She left Maranatha Bible College and went to state school where she went into the world. In less than two weeks she will give herself in marriage to an undesirable person. I have fasted and prayed. She is determined to do this. No one can dissuade her. Pray for God's miracle and for me to have peace in the midst of this storm.
What a beautiful post! As a mother of three daughters I can honestly say daughters can be our closest female friends.
And yes, grown doesn't mean anything to a mama's heart, they will never outgrow being our children.
Thanks for sharing!
June, this is precious. It's so true. I love my four gals, and thank God everyday for giving me such treasures. xox
P.S.
I can't help but admire your beautiful, long hair. So shiny. Next time a post on how you get your hair looking so lovely. ;-)
Oh I love this! I love my four daughters! Each time we learned it was a girl, I was a little discouraged. I wanted to be a different example of motherhood than I was shown and didn't think I was up to the calling. I thought for sure I would mess it all up. I always thought boys were more indepedent so I could stand in the shadow of my husband while boys grew. Now, I am so thankful to the Lord beacuse he helped me to see I have four more reasons to glorify Him by being a mother to my daughters. He know's I can be better! Thank you! You and your daughters are beautiful inside and out!

This is such a lovely reflection on the blessings of daughters. That is a beautiful picture and I'm sure you all treasured the time you spent together!
gorgeous picture!!! and those quotes are beautiful!
By the way, I just wanted to thank you for making products bearing the 'Wise Woman' verse and image available. I have ordered two mouse pads from your store and look forward to using them. Have a blessed week! :)
I too thought you were one of the three sisters! I'm blessed with seven daughters. My first five children were girls. They are all older teens and young adults now, with one married and a mother herself. I also have two little girls who are still home with me all day, along with three growing boys, and they are a sweet blessing to me. We've been enjoying Advent singing and reading this week using Scripture lists and lyrics from our church bulletin, as well as many of our favorite Christmas books (http://startwellhomeschool.blogspot.com/2009/12/my-favorite-christmas-books.html)
There are several vintage inspirational quotes about children here: http://comewearymoms.blogspot.com/2010/02/children-lifes-greatest-treasure.html
