The King Is Exalted

How many of you know the song 'The King is Exalted"? The words go like this:

"The King is exalted, the King is exalted on high"

My little four year old, Joy, came downstairs spinning in circles singing quite beautifully and unrestrained this morning as I was on the computer, and since she couldn't quite say the word 'exalted'---she was more than happy to replace the word with a new word. Here was her version:

"The King is a sausage, the King is a sausage on high!"

All of us had a good laugh as her siblings tried to teach her to correctly sing the song, however, she enjoyed her version and continued singing in happy bliss. Ohhhhhh, to be young and carefree again!

*Don't worry, we did correct her, we didn't want her song to be blasphemous in any way and know that the Lord knew what she meant in her heart! :)*

This is such a cute story! Once I heard my son singing Psalm 3:5-6, which SHOULD go "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight."

But my child? He was singing, "In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your PARENTS straight."

Apparently, he was very concerned about us!! LOL!!

Thanks for the laugh!
