Ladies ~ When people that you love are making bad decisions and choosing to live in sin.....
Pour your thoughts and energies into things that are God honoring.
Pour your thoughts and energies into those that are doing right.
Pour your thoughts and energies into the Word of God and prayer.
If you allow people to hinder your God-ward focus you will also hinder your ‘would be’ godly influence in their lives. Rebels need to see Christ in you. They need to see your faith endure as you trust Jesus – come what may.
Don’t allow the world and its worldlings to distract your focus and commitment for Christ.
Don’t allow them to use you as their center of abuse.
Don’t let them bully you.
*Instead be the salt and a light that Jesus designed you to be.
Salt has purifying healing to it – although it stings.
Light exposes truth and reveals what goes on in darkness.
“And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil. For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed. But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God” (John. 3:19-21).
Again, love your enemies, pray for them…fervently! But don’t let them be used to divert your focus off from Jesus. You live your Christian life as God would have you to… and let others live their own lives.
We need to pray constantly, learn the Word of God continually, and humbly yield to the Spirit.
