It has been almost a year since I have done one of these posts! So much has happened and there is much to tell...but for now I will share what has been going on these past two months!
WHAT I'VE BEEN DOING
Its truly been a whirlwind of....
sports
senior photos
finishing school
prom
senior grad parties
wedding
family get-togethers
playdates
swim outings
4th of July festivities
birthdays, and more!
I am literally exhausted so I am taking some much needed time to rest now!
Which leads me to the....
BEACH
I am grateful thought that we have been to the beach numerous times already! It's one of my most favorite places to be. I feel at home here and at peace. We just hosted a our twins graduation party there too, it was a lot of fun to catch up with good friends. The pic below is of my son, Josh, who loves the beach as much as I do. He is known for trying to whisk me away as soon as he gets out of work. On this day we did just that and we also grabbed some food for a relaxing beach picnic.
WHAT IM READING
It has been a challenge to find the time to read lately, but I recently stumbled on a book that I highly recommend The One Year Wisdom for Women Devotional by Debbi Bryson. I have been really enjoying it and the wisdom it shares. I will share more on it in a later post!

WHAT'S NEW
We got new pets! We visited our local Chinatown not too long ago and bought some yellow-eared slider turtles!
Their names are Dumpling and Boba.
We also suspect that our sweet little cat, Puffer Belly, might be pregnant.
This is her when she a kitten, she is a sweetie.

We are also doing a small garden this year with tomatoes, salad, kale, pumpkins, jalapeno, onions, and more.

MY BIRTHDAY
I turned 53!
It was a nice day--the family took me out to brunch and a movie and then later I spent the day by a lake enjoying a summer festival. When I got home we did cake and gifts. It was so nice to be able to spend it together with family.

HOMEMAKING TIP:
I have several projects going on at home right now and one of them is decluttering and reorganizing some areas in my home. One of the things that I just recently bought again is this:
It's a Rotating Storage Organizer and it is wonderful! I already own one and this is the second one I am purchasing. I keep mine out of sight in my bedroom and they help so much. I put everything on them! If you need a place to organize your items I highly recommend these. They are worth every penny.
