"Let them be happy, encourage all innocent joy, provide pleasant games for them, romp and play with them; be a child again among them. Then God's blessing will come upon your home, and your children will grow up sunny-hearted, gentle, affectionate, joyous themselves and joy-bearers to the world.”
~JR Miller, The Christian Family
Are you looking for ways to pass the extra time home with the children?
We have been tackling various home projects around here and getting several needed things done.
But while we also are working around the house we also take the time to play hard too. (smile)
Last night the kids roasted marshmallows by bonfire while they burned some logs and branches that had accumulated on our property.
I am so grateful for family time together. There were great memories to be made from something as simple as the bonfire and they spent hours together enjoying each other's company.
Our kids also like to play games with each to pass the time. So I thought I would quickly share a list of games since I noticed several ladies online this past week asking for ideas to add to their collections.
One of our favorite games that we had gotten recently this past year was this one called Suspend:
This is what it looks like up close:
It is so much fun because when you add a piece on it completely moves the entire thing and you have to be careful not to knock them all down! They got this for Valentine's Day earlier this year.
Here are a few more favorite ideas:
Uno & Uno Flip
Apples to Apples
Oregon Trail Card game
Ticket to Ride
What are *your* favorite games to play?
Did I miss any of your favorites on this list?
Please share in the comments below so I can add them to the list.
I hope this list was a blessing to you!
