This
is the thought that should be uppermost
on your mind in all you do for
your children.
In every step you take about them,
in every plan,
and
scheme,
and arrangement that concerns them,
do not leave out that mighty
question,
"How will this affect their souls?”

Thanks June for this reminder. Its easy to get sidetracked with accomplishments that are so earthly. I love your posts.
Sometimes we want to help the world, which is a good and noble thing, but NOT before we have our homes in a loving order. I know, I didn't do this in my younger days, and wish I had. My kids were loved, beyond measure, but a true, complete love would have kept my house a little more uncluttered. There is a feeling of chaos which affects them, in an "uncontrolled" home. Thank you for your wonderful reminder to remember priorities, our children, and our home. Husbands are more calm in a "controlled" environment, which will make them better Dad's.
We have a coined a phrase for our family in recent weeks - to "Focus on the Forever Things." This is very fitting for our "new" way of thinking....
You are so right.
