I just love homemade granola.... I love making it, eating it
and smelling it roasting in the oven.
So.... yesterday I decided to try a new recipe for granola
that dear Mrs.H had mentioned as being one of her
favorites....... courtesy of Elton Brown.
And I must say I was quite happy with the results.
I really liked the crunchy texture and the strong maple flavor
that this one had! Enjoy the recipe!!!
3 cups rolled oats in a large bowl....
1 cup slivered almonds
And....
1/4 cup vegetable oil
3/4 tsp. salt
Pour this mixture into the oat mixture and
stir to combine...
Cook for an 1 hour to 1 hour and 15 minutes....
stirring every 15 minutes to achieve an even color.
and mix until evenly distributed.
...And there you have it....... you have just made some
real good, tasty granola.... Enjoy!!!

Hope all of you are having a wonderful week!!
