Apple-licous! Homemaking Memories in the Kitchen and MORE

Now that we have done a post for fall about serving food inside of pumpkins, now I thought it would also be a good time to have a little inspiration with apples since it is apple picking time and you can get them super cheap. I like these ideas because they can make the ordinary homemaker feel like she has a few tricks up her sleeve to liven up  kitchen and  family meal table.

I really loved this idea, Mr. Fuentes just loves ice cream AND caramel and what a cute way to use up all those extra apples!

Get your best apple cider recipe (or just buy some at the store and heat) and serve it in these pretty apple cups!

Make the kids something fun--instead of regular sandwiches try an apple creation instead!

We can't forget apple dippin',

This grilled apple bacon cheese sandwich is a favorite at our home. We usually like to have it on the first day of fall. It tastes delicious and super simple to make. If you don't have bacon on hand, you can also use bacon bits.

A few days ago my daughter made some homemade pie from apple picking at the orchard. We kept the apple peels and tossed them in cinnamon and sugar and baked them at 350 degrees for 20 minutes No waste and tasted great!

All of the recipe links for the images above can be found over at my Fall Pinterest Board.

I have seen all those creative pumpkin and apple ideas on pinterest. My daughter came in yesterday and told me excitedly that there is blossom on the 'Pink Lady' apple tree in our orchard because of course it is spring here.
Oh all those new resources from Vision Forum look wonderful. I'm a little disappointed that the Australian dollar has now fallen against the US dollar, as it was such good value for me this last year to buy from the States even with shipping and VF offer excellent customer service. The dollar dropped just days after I bought your ebook - so I was very blessed with the timing of that purchase. It has been too late in the day for me to join in the discussions at the TCW FB group but I have been catching up every few days and praying for those who are there as I spot prayer requests - I think this is the best way for me to contribute seeing the time difference means I cannot be 'live'.

So many fun things to make with apples! I'll have to try some of those. I think my Man of the House would like the ice cream and caramel apple as well. :)

Ohhhhh, those new Vision Forum items look SO good! Why must you tempt us with these good things? :) I can't wait to get my new catalog in the mail! :)

Blessings to you!

Baked apple would have to be my favourite. Remove the core and fill it up with sultanas and nuts and pour in Golden Syrup (if you live in Australia) or Maple Syrup (USA) and bake until cooked. Pour over cream and eat. I grew up on an apple orchard and we ate apples every which way that was possible and this was one of our favourites.

Its a pity that some of us in Australia don't live closer as we could pool some of our orders from the USA and cut down on postage. I share my Home Blessings DVDs with two cousins that helps with costs as well.

Oh, I love all the apple ideas! Delicious, cute and FUN!

We just got 20-lbs of organic apples for $10 from our food co-op. I've been wondering what to do with all of them!

Thanks for the inspiration.
