Come fall time the Fuentes family tries to celebrate by adding to their meals an assortment of recipes that include pumpkins, squash, apples. etc..We especially like pumpkin pancakes, pumpkin bread, pumpkin muffins, pumpkin soup...you get the picture!
This year I thought we would try to add a few new recipes to our cooking repertoire and experiment with the following...
Pumpkin French Toast
Pumpkin Scones with spiced tea
Pumpkin Cheesecake
Baked apples in the crock
(we have made these before, but I put this in here so I won't forget to make it this year!)
Smores Milkshake
Mmmm.....can't wait to try them!
Mmmm.....can't wait to try them!
And a quick note about yesterdays post---
Many of you contacted me wanting to know where to buy the pretty the outfits, but I must let you know that several of the pretty shirts could be made simply for only a few dollars at home. Sachiko, over at Tea Rose Home, is an incredibly gifted gal and shows us how to make beautiful clothes step-by-step. So if your budget is tight and you would still like to achieve the look of yesterdays post or add some new prettiness to your fall wardrobe this year without breaking the bank--please visit her. She is amazing! You will definitely thank me later! She even uses two shirts to minimize the sewing and just adds the pretty ruffles on with the fabric from cutting up the second shirt. I love how she uses this method to help save time. Here is her tutorial for the pretty blouse above.
My daughter and I plan on trying our hand at making some of her lovely ideas too (I love, love, love the pink one above and plan to make this!)--I have been so inspired by her and now I am ready to create! Fall is wonderful time to get back to sewing and finding new simple projects to do with our daughters.
I mustn't forget, a sweet reader sent in a super easy link to make the pretty scarf too!
Hope you enjoy the links and plan to have a fabulous fall with your family!

the Pumpkin French Toast looks sooooo good...
So do you have the recipes for all these new dishes? They all sound very good, love to sew too thanks for the tips
Sewinginnomansland.blogspot.com is another great sewing blog I found thanks to pinterest. She has excellent tutorials for skirts, ruffled scarfs and sweet children's clothes. All with step by step instructions and lots of clear photographs. She has even put her patterns onto pdf files which you can download for free.
June, you are so inspiring! I love your ideas and your style. Thanks so much for such a great blog. Also would you send me an invite to pinterest? I'm not sure of what I'm getting myself into with it but it may just be what I need to organize some of the things I love. Thanks. My email is leck3113@msn.com if you need it.

I really like the Marianne blouse, very modest and stylish for any women to wear and I also really liked the ruched skirt. :) ericajeannette@yahoo.com
