The Proverbs 31 Work At Home Woman
I recently did a survey on A Wise Woman Builds Her Home Facebook fan page where I asked all the woman to share with me what they do to help their husbands out financially at home. I got quite a response so I thought I would bring this conversation here to my blog. I want to do a link up of all the great ideas that are out there to inspire us on how we can help contribute to our homes monetarily and bless our husbands and families.
Now, I thought instead of having everyone leave a comment, we could do a linkup where all you fantastic moms, wives and daughters can share what you do to inspire the rest of us! Now you can list multiple things, from your home businesses to how you save your family money by being wise with shopping, frugality and using coupons or the like. Because essentially, we are ALL have the same goals in mind, don't we? Whether we wisely shop the sales papers using coupons or launch multiple home businesses we all have that one goal in mind--to help our families.
Some other ideas that you might not have thought of but are also welcomed such as having garage sale(s), selling clothes to consignment shops, babysitting, couponing, starting an Etsy/ Ebay store, to hosting Twitter Parties, etc. They can also be old or new posts that you have written. This is also a great way to let others know about your business or service if you have one.
(Note: Please do not leave a link directly to your company website but instead to your blog post--thanks! And if you don't have time to link up a post, because you are too busy just leave a comment and a link if you would prefer.)
So go ahead and link up and share how you do it...I can't wait to read all the great ideas out there!

I offer private childbirth classes as well as early pregnancy classes, breastfeeding support, newborn classes, babywearing classes, and more. I do some classes from my house and some in my clients' homes during time that my husband is home with the children. It's not just a way to make money--it's my passion and my service to the community. There is a tremendous need for *evidence based* information for families to have the healthiest birth possible.
This is a great resource for freebies and coupons...

My Mom, sisters and I run a home for the elderly in our home. We care for up to three "grandmas" or "grandpas" (as we like to call them) and treat them as such. My Mom is an R.N. and worked with hospice and an assisted living for years. Then the Lord providentially brought the Jim Zes family into my parents' lives and God convicted them of Mom working outside the home and us girls being taught by the gov. So Mom came home, but the budget was tight as we were very dependent on her income. My Dad is an amazing finished carpenter, but the pay was feast/famine. So we brainstormed and the Lord gave us this idea of caring for the elderly in our home. We are so blessed with this business/ministry and grateful to the Lord for providing not just one home/family business but two! We also think of this as a ministry in that it is alot of work, like hosting every day (and night!) and entertaining the many nurses, cnas, and family members that are constantly entering our home...and yet we are able to fulfill the hospitality command, care for widows, and share the gospel message as a family.
I have not yet begun my online business, as I am finishing up a young ladies fictional book that I pray will be instrumental in inspiring them to see their bodies as the temple of God. Perhaps God would also use that to relieve my husband of some financial burden as well!
I don't have a post, though!
Also, I wanted to tell you that because of your blog, I have been in contact with the Lilla Rose consultant that you did a giveaway for! I am also prayerfully considering that as it will fit quite nicely with my future online business theme!
Thanks so much!
Hi Mrs. Feuntes!
I have been a long time reader but I do not usually comment. To help out my family financially I have done in home daycare and now I am a Pampered Chef Consultant. I do not have a blog so I will just post the link to my website here.

With the economy being tough and being a military family I have had to start this business to help support our three children. I love your blog and look forward to seeing what everyone else does.

I have done homeday in the past for over 5 years. I put that to rest with the birth of our 8th child 2 years ago. Now once again I am looking at starting that up after Miriam is born in the next few weeks. I also started seedlings for the garden and sold a portion of them to friends who wanted organic vegies, I also sell our farm eggs, chic. dressed or live also meat rabbits. When we have goat kids I also sell them. I myself use clothe diapers and cloth wipes for baby bums and bigger bums to help limit tp use. Nursing saves your baby and toddler also saves time and money and is a wonderful way to bond. I love figuring out new ways to save money and help out others who want things more natural and just maybe don't have the time to do it themselves.
Thank you for the linkup! This week just happened to be the week I focused on money in my Proverbs 31 series on being a better housewife!
Love all the great ideas--keep them coming! Does any one know of a popular Christian woman entrepreneur site they'd like to share?
Hi I left a link for our farm and did not get the blog address typed in right could you please delete it so I could repost. Thank you Rebekah.
