A Careful Woman

A careful woman I ought to be,

A little girl follows me;

I do not dare to go a stray

For fear she’ll go the self-same way.

I cannot once escape her eyes;

What’re she sees me do, she tries

Like me, she says, she’s going to be,

The little girl who follows me.

She thinks that I am good and fine,

Believes in every word of mine;

The bad in me she must not see,

The little girl who follows me.

I must remember as I go,

Through summer’s sun and winter’s snow,

I am building for the years to be,

For a little girl follows me.

You are in the TOP 100 at Internet Cafe Devotions! Congratulations!

Every year Internet Café Devotions hosts Blessed Aroma, a call out to blog readers to nominate their favorite blogs, in specific categories, written by Christian Women. Those with the most nominations are compiled into a list that gives us the TOP 100 Christian Women’s blogs each year.

Your blog was chosen this year in the category of: “Gathered Together”. We hope this blesses you as much as you have blessed others!

Thanks for all that you do in your online ministry. Have an amazing day!

Hi Amy,

Thanks for notifying me, I was wondering when that list was coming out so I could check out all the great new blogs that I knew would be on there. This blog is actually under the 'Proverbs 31' category (I was trying to find it and thought you had the wrong person, especially since it was listed as Proverbs 14 Verse 1 which is the URL!).

Thanks for all those who nominated this blog, I will probably put up a post shortly to thank everyone!

I am humbled to see all that God does through me---this broken vessel and dirty rag of his.

Many blessings...

I am most certainly not a mom yet...I'm not even married. But in the spirit of Titus 2 I love reading what you have to say and learning so that one day I can be the best wife and mom I can be.

What a powerful little poem. I think I shall print it out and post it in a couple of strategic places as a reminder.
