Fall Essential Oil Recipe for Your Diffuser

Last week I shared a fun and easy fall recipe for fall potpourri to make on your stove with every day ingredients, and today I want to share how to make your home smell like fall using essential oils.

I have been reading about how toxic candles can be (some of the cheaper ones can be as bad as second hand smoke) so I am slowly making the switch over to safer alternatives like using essential oils and buying soy candles which are safer for our homes. As I get older I noticed that I am more sensitive to smoke and chemically made air fresheners. I personally try not to get overwhelmed with all the information that is out there and just take "baby steps" while making the changes to make my home a safer environment for all of us.

I hope this recipes helps you too--it is a quick and easy way to bring fall into your home!

You can use put this recipe in your diffuser along with with the water:

3 drops cinnamon essential oil

4 drops orange essential oil

3 drops vanilla essential oil

Or you could omit the vanilla and add:

1-2 drops stress away essential oil (my all time favorite)

1 drop clove essential oil

1 drop ginger essential oil

Remember you can adjust the recipe and add more drop of what you like and less of what you don't. It's fun to try different scents so I encourage you to experiment with different oils.

I currently use a diffuser (this is the one that I use) that I bought awhile back and have two of them to put in different rooms. But I have had my eye on this one because it lights up to 7 different colors and I know the kids would really like that.

Whatever diffuser you use I hope this helps you making your home a safer place for your family and that you enjoy this recipe!

Thank you for the information. I had been thinking of getting a diffuser and bought one after reading your post. I got one that lights up in 7 different colours although that wasn't my favorite thing about it. I liked the wood grain the best. I'm not very flashy. I ordered some clove oil as well as a few others. Happy Autumn.
