I don't know all of the details, but my cousin and his wife were counseled to abort when she was pregnant because she lost all or nearly all of her amniotic fluid. Eva was born just over a pound and less thn a foot long. Now she is 10 pounds or so. You can see her photos at my blog, they are tagged with her name.
Such an amazing young woman. As a mom of an 11 year old boy with cerebral palsy who was (to my horror)given the option of terminating his life prior to life, Gianna is more than inspiring.
After my sons birth, I was also told that he would not walk, would not see and should be institutionalized. By God's grace, this little guy runs, reads, smiles and prays like David.
www.durarealidad.com. This is a link to the most profound prolife video. It is graphic so be warned. I was so moved. I have to share it with all. God bless you all and pray for life in the upcoming election
This story is wonderful for many reasons, but I was struck by the similarity between Gianna's being engulfed in saline solution to Shadrach, Meschach and Abed-nego's being thrown into the fiery furnace. In both cases someone tried to burn them to death, and in both cases the intended victims survived. Gianna should be blind, her skin should have permanent damage, she should have died, but God protected her just like he protected Daniel's friends. What an awesome testimony of God's power, mercy and love.
I love this! I heard Gianna Jessen on a talk radio show earlier this month and her mission is near and dear to my heart. www.bornalivetrush.org !!!! He reigns!
Thanks for posting this! It was a great reminder. I actually met her, talked with her, and heard her speak at a dinner in San Antonio TX several years ago. Very inspiring!
