Why and How to Vote as a Christian

There was recently a statistic I heard that 32 million Christians will not be voting this election. 

I am not sure if this is true but I hope that is not true and that Christians would get out there and use their freedom to vote!

I heard a pastor speaking on this topic recently and he said that Christians needs to influence the world to be a light in the darkness and that one of the ways they do that is by voting. He said that  Christians voting is important because our influence helps to hold back the tide of evil because we know God's word.  Especially if we know one side is not for the same moral principals that align with God's Word. 

He quickly stated a few ways he said to look for the right candidate and that was:

1. Are they for life?

God is for life and says that shall not kill. 

2. Are they for the genders of  male and female? 

God created man and woman in the garden of Eden. 

3. Are they for Israel?

Because Israel is special to God for several reasons stated in the Bible. 

We know that there are many other crucial topics at hand during this election year but for now I am just listing the 3 major points he shared. 

And obviously, there will never be a perfect candidate. 

There is only one true Savior for the world and that is Jesus Christ.
