Every few months or so I try to share what we have been doing here on the home front.
Earlier this year we updated our upstairs bathroom--it was so fun and I *love* it!
I wanted to share a bit of what we did--hopefully it will inspire you to improve something in your home. Even if it is a small thing--it makes all the difference.
I have been going slowly around the house trying to update each room bit by bit, and am so glad we were able to do this one!
We painted it mostly white with some black accents like the cabinets, vanity mirror, and shelf.
I bought two different shower curtains. Mainly because the one I really wanted was going too take long (and I needed one right away) to get here so I settled for just getting two.
And this one for winter winter:
I love them both! Really though, the second one is my favorite, because I love how it looks in person. By the way, the above pics are NOT the actual pics of my bathroom but of the actual shower curtains on Amazon. I honestly feel weird about posting whole pictures our some of our rooms online, especially a bathroom!
I also got these pretty shower curtain hooks:
They are so pretty, the picture doesn't really do them justice.
We replaced our vanity lights with this one:
And the flooring with this peel and stick grey and white floor tiling!
My 16 year son offered to put this in and did a great job! He is so amazing and a totally hands-on type of kid. He flourishes if he gets to build something, fix something, or attack a big project.
And we got this long black rug:
Again, not my bathroom but you get the point! I am just trying to show you what it looks like.
We picked this backplash for above the sink:
It was easy to do and my son did this as well- took 5 minutes.
This is some white subtile we did around the liner of our tub, my husband tackled that one since it needed to be perfect. It is holding up well with all the hot showers we take.
I also have a peony flower vase like this on my bathroom sink:
And some of these topiaries are high up on a shelf along with this cute canvas:
I got the topiaries and found the canvas from the At Home store. It has some pretty glittery shine that the camera did not pick up. You can find topiaries like this HERE.
I also have this pic and a few others in there:
In the end, I really loved how it all came together!
I hope you enjoyed this "peek" into our home updates.
I have also updated my youngest daughters room that I will share soon!
