A Peek Inside My Life

Do you like this Thanksgiving filter I have on? I thought the turkey bow was fitting so I couldn't resist sharing it here with you. No, I don't normally have freckles but thought it was cute for a change. About once a month I try to share a peek into our lives to connect with all of you and this time around I wanted to wish you a safe and Happy Thanksgiving!

Here is what we have been doing:

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD

I wasn't sure if they were going to have this favorite ministry of ours this year due to all that has been happening but I was glad that we could get out to it. It was extra special this year because we knew so many things had been cancelled so we really appreciated a chance to get out and bless some children this year and not take doing something usually so simple for granted.

There were a ton of school supplies, toys, clothes, shoes, socks, hygienic items and more. When the children get them they get a chance to hear the Gospel message of our Lord Jesus and how He died for our sins.

My kids love doing this and it really kicks off the official holiday season for them!

FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP

I never gave a football update so here it is: our  boys team made it to the Championship game and the night before they were supposed to play it got cancelled and the two teams agreed to be co-champions this year. It was quite a disappointment for many and our 3 boys but they had the best year they ever had (10-1) and even brought home last year's trophy back to their coach and school which made him very proud.

They like to do a Turkey Bowl every year and this year it will be the same!

BASKETBALL

My daughter's volley ball season is also over and I now have 3 in basketball and they are having fun. My older son made Captain and my daughter and other son are brand new this year and realizing what a strenuous sport it is! They are learning the fine art of discipline and perseverance so they can have longevity while they play. Getting them to practice and games keep us pretty busy during the week and weekends.

MY POOR MAC DIED

With all the things that had to happen in 2020--my faithful MacBook Air died suddenly and could not be repaired. I was sad, but grateful to have other computers in the home to use for online work. My husband surprised me and told me to get a new Mac as an early Christmas present from him. I was so happy and grateful!

I had always wanted a pink Mac and so you can imagine my surprise when I found out that the new MacBook Air came in a gold color which is more of a deep rose gold. It is a 10th generation with Touch ID.  Can you tell I am geeking out a bit over this? YES, I AM!

MY HOMESCHOOL BUSY BINDER

I wanted to share about this adorable new busy binder that I made for Bella (who is now 6). It can be used for Preschool through Kindergarten. It is one of our favorite resources to use, especially on those days when you just want to get away from books and have something fun and hands on to do!

You can do all kinds of things with this binder and my daughter loves it so much! There are a ton of sheets that have different projects with attached velcro so it is very hands on. I have used it several times and it has come in so handy.  I will have to do an in depth post about it soon so I can give you all the full details.

THANKSGIVING BREAK

We are now on our break and I am using that time to decorate the house for Christmas. We already started so half of the house has Christmas decor and the other is still in fall mode so we need to make sure that we get most of this done before our Thanksgiving dinner. This year I bought all the kids Christmas trees for their bedrooms and they got to decorate them how they wanted. The boys did a blue and silver tree and Bella got a pink and silver tree with pink balls, snowmen, and other cute things.

WHAT I AM STUDYING

A month or two ago I started a Bible study into the Book of Samuel. I am still going through it slowly so I am hoping to dig in deep again during our break!
