I am setting some reading goals this year and while I was reflecting on the goals that I reached last year I wanted to share some of my favorite picks that I think will inspire you and that will also teach a bit of history as well!
Since I am a mom of 9 it is not everyday that I can carve out a ton of time reading so I make sure whatever I am reading will be an encouragement and inspiration and not waste my time on things that aren't.
I had shared a list with you of books I was reading last year and here are my top three favorite from the list are:
1. Susie - The Life and Legacy of Susannah Spurgeon
This is a favorite because I love reading about Charles Spurgeon and this is all about his wife and their life together.
This book had inspiring stories of mothers of great men who are sure to inspire you as a mom.
3. Devotedly: The Personal Letters and Love Story of Jim and Elisabeth Elliot by Valerie Elliot Shepard
The title clearly says what this book is about and I thought it was a nice little gem to read through.
We challenge you to read books that will help you to grow this year. Of course the first book we always recommend is the Bible. I start the day off with my morning reading and this devotional.
I will share a 2020 reading list soon, but until then you can definitely find some inspiration with the lists below!
What are you reading through this year?
Please share in the comments below!
I hope this list is a blessing to you!
