Time for Self Examination

TWENTY-TWO SELF EXAMINATION QUESTIONS

1. Am I consciously or unconsciously creating the impression that I am
better than I really am?

2. Am I honest in all my acts and words, or do I exaggerate?

3. Do I confidentially pass on to another what was told to me in confidence?

4. Can I be trusted?

5. Am I self-conscious, self-pitying, or self-justifying?

7. Did the Bible live in me today?

8. Do I give it time to speak to me every day?

9. Am I enjoying prayer?

10. When did I last speak to someone else about my faith?

11. Do I pray about the money I spend?

12. Do I get to bed on time and get up on time?

13. Do I disobey God in anything?

14. Do I insist upon doing something about which my conscience is uneasy?

15. Am I defeated in any part of my life?

16. Am I jealous, impure, critical, irritable, touchy or distrustful?

17. How do I spend my spare time?

18. Am I proud?

19. Do I thank God that I am not as other people, especially as the
Pharisees who despised the publican?

20. Is there anyone whom I fear, dislike, disown, criticize hold a
resentment toward or despise?

21. Do I grumble or complain constantly?

22. Is Christ real to me?

These are the 22 questions the members of the Holy Club, to which JOHN
WESLEY belonged, asked themselves each day as a part of their daily
devotions.

I have posted these questions on my blog. I think that it might be a good idea to re-visit them once a month or so. Thank you for posting them.

It is never easy to cast an honest look at yourself. Thank you for this moment of self-examination and Praise the Lord that He awaits to meet us with our painful answers. Wednedays is our homeschooling group day and I am pointing readers to blogs that have blessed me. I chose yours today. Keep writing! judy

Thank you for such a beautiful site. The images you use on your site and wonderful and inspirational. Could you please tell me the source of one of the images you have used? I love the painting of the young knight building a castle with blocks and would like to buy a print for my husband. Do you know where I could locate one? Thank you very much, Gigi

I love this post as I do all of them...you have really encouraged & challenged me through my growth as a wife and mother, which is why I tagged you on my blog.

Its okay with my if you do not do it but I am one to "follow the rules" with things like this and it asked for tag 6 people...which you are one!

Thank you again for your posts...

I love your blog. It is truly encouraging. May I ask you to stop by my blog thebeautifulsimplicityplace.blogspot.com to read my last post, why I am an outcast at church? If you have time, of course. I just could really use some encouragement. Thank you so. Amy
