Women Who Rightly Divide the Word

Have you ever talked to a friend and they mishandled the Word? I once knew a lady who thought everything that happened was from Satan and his demons and therefore wanted to expel and excorise these demonic angels from everyone. There was never any talk about taking personal responsibility for sin so many who encountered her was usually pointed the blame to Satan for their troubles instead of the power of Christ they had been given to resist their sinful flesh.

It is so important that we know the Word of God, we do not want to be easily deceived. There are so many so called 'truths' that exist, if we are not careful to be Bereans we can easily misinterprate God's word.

As woman of God we must be saturated with scripture. We want to reflect the Lord properly and not confuse others.

Are you familiar with the basic principles of doctrine such as salvation, eternal damnation, justification, sanctification, predistination and election?

Have you studied and know your:

Christology-The Doctrine of Jesus Christ
Ecclesiology-The Doctrine of the Church
Eschatology-The Doctrine of End Times
Pneumotology-The Doctrine of the Holy Spirit
Angelogy-The Doctrine of Angels
Harmartialogy-The Doctrine of Sin
Thanatology-The Doctrine of Death
Soteriology-The Doctrine of Salvation
Anthropology-The Doctrine of Man

Last night my husband, and daughter had a great indepth discussion on Gnosticism, Calvinism, and Arminiasm. I have resolved that this summer I will immerse myself in the study of deeper doctrine so that I may handle His word correctly. Hopefully you will too!

"Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth." 2 Timothy 2:15

You are so right. I am an older woman and I have lived this all my life. I believe doctrine strengthens us for the hard times and battles of life. Doylene
