How to Make Monkey Bread {Just 5 Ingredients!}

I have five sons.

And I have found that when sons want something sweet they will take to baking something themselves if they can't find anything around the house to eat to satisfy their sweet tooth.

I definitely keep lots of fruits and vegetables around the house, but somehow this doesn't seem to sway them (even though they still eat plenty of those too).

One of the favorites that my 13 year old son, Joshua, likes to bake is monkey bread.

It is so easy and simple and only 5 ingredients!

So we thought we would share it with you--it is an easy recipe for days when you just want to indulge a little!

INGREDIENTS:

3 cans of buttermilk biscuits
1 cup of sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon

Topping:
1 cup brown sugar
1 stick butter

DIRECTIONS:

1. Cut each biscuit in quarters.

2. Shake biscuits in bag with sugar and cinnamon.

3. Layer biscuits in a greased bundt pan or  9x 13 casserole dish.

In a small pan melt brown sugar and butter together and boil for a minute. Pour over biscuits and bake in a 350 degree oven for 30 minutes. Cool 10 minutes and serve.

Servings: This recipe feeds our family of 11.

Like the recipe states you can use a bundt pan but we usually use a 9 x 13 casserole dish with no problems. Speaking of baking dishes--have you seen the new Spring Collection from the Pioneer Woman yet?

It is pretty:

You can find this set HERE and also be sure to take a peek of the Pioneer Woman's NEW Spring Bouquet collection for 2018 that was just released!

We hope this recipe is a blessing to you!

  1. We LOVE monkey bread in our home as well. I have my grandma’s recipe but I never thought to use premade biscuits before. I will try that for next time because life becomes quite busy with little ones. Have a great day, friend!
