Look what came in the mail yesterday:
It was just released a few days ago and it looks sooooo good!
I am choosing to read this book for October--I am already looking forward to snuggling up under a blanket, lighting a candle and digging in.
In case you aren't familiar with Sally Clarkson, she is a popular author and is known for her encouraging Christian books on motherhood and homeschooling.
Here is the description of this newest book in case you haven't heard of it:
Make your table a place where your family and friends long to be—where they will find rest, renewal, and a welcome full of love.
Beloved author Sally Clarkson (The Lifegiving Home, Own Your Life, Desperate) believes that meals lovingly served at home—and the time spent gathered together around the table—are a much-needed way to connect more deeply with our families and open our kids’ hearts. Food and faith, mingled in everyday life, become the combination for passing on God’s love to each person who breaks bread with us.
In The Lifegiving Table, Sally shares her own family stories, favorite recipes, and practical ideas to help you get closer to the people you love . . . and grow in faith together.
Here is a peek of the video:
She also has a companion guide to go with it, this seems like it would be fun to do as a group or study.
As part of our Focus on Fall Series, we are choosing this lovely book set for one of our special readers as our October Fall Giveaway!

ReplyDeleteI do tend to use food to show love, actually I have a friend right now who is going through some difficult times and I spent $20 to send her one yummy date square in the mail... just cuz I know she likes them, and she is too far away for me to do more than pray.
ReplyDeleteI also am happy to be able to put a home cooked, real food supper on the table every night for my family of 7.
So excited... what a beautiful thing to share. My home could sure use some good advice for our table with 7 littles sitting around it. LOL
