Standing by Silent

“A dog will bark if he sees his master attacked,
and I should be a cowardly wretch
if I could see God’s truth assailed
and stood by silent.”

~ John Calvin (1509 – 1564)

  1. This is so timely! It's becoming increasingly difficult to speak up for the truth. Many don't want to hear it...especially God's truth. Tolerance seems to be the "buzz word" today...if you don't show tolerance to sin/sinners you're called all kinds of names.

  2. Thank you. I was in a situation two days ago that sin was pronounced good (homosexualty, recreational drug use) I felt alone as some other Christians agreed we should be tolerant and accepting and one remained completely silent leaving me as the intolerant one. How do we speak out against sin yet remain loving?? Signed, JulyGulf

  3. I speak the truth in love, softly. I insert humorous biblical anecdotes from my life as I can and it usually works.
