A Chance to Meet Rick Santorum

Last week my husband and I were invited to a Christian Pro-Life fundraiser. So I wanted to share some pictures of us there.

Here is a close up of me and my handsome church planting husband, Steve.

This one is not as focused but here we are sitting at our table.

(Denise, me, Kathy, Laurel)
Here I am with some friends who attended.
Thank you, Laurel, for inviting us!

Senator Rick Santorum, former Republican presidential candidate of 2012, was a key speaker there and shared some important words about standing up for unborn children:

"To not act is to act,
To be silent is speaking."

Also some other encouraging words said that night:

"The church must be reminded that it is not the master or the servant of the state, but rather the conscience of the state. It must be the guide and the critic of the state, and never its tool. If the church does not recapture its prophetic zeal, it will become an irrelevant social club without moral or spiritual authority."   Martin Luther King, Jr.

So here is my husband shaking hands with him afterwards.

Here Rick is signing his latest book American Patriot and I am leaning over telling him who to sign it out to. He told us that he also had eight children, and one was now in heaven. He also has a child who was born with Trisomy 18, Isabella and he shared a very touching story about her.

If you'd like to check out his latest book, you can find on Amazon by clicking HERE.

  3. That sounds like a wonderful event! We have some great pro-life believers serving in government here in my part of the country, too,and I find their speeches and articles so inspiring.
