Hold On

When your body is betraying you and your mind is spinning.

Hold on.

When hope seems like it is light years away and strength is disappearing.

Hold on.

When your relationships are crumbling and your feeling all alone.

Hold on.

When life is throwing death at you from every direction and you think that's all there is left.

Hold on.

When you feel your faith is fruitless and that it's all a farce.

Hold on.

When you feel like giving up, don't give in to those feelings.

Hold on.

Keep watching and praying, Keep trusting and believing. Keep singing and offering the sacrifice of praise. Don't let go of what you know is true. Don't let the lies rob you of your joy and don't let the devil deceive you. Hold on, Hold on, Hold on.

Help is on the way!

Hold on to Jesus, He's holding on to you.

If I take the wings of the dawn, If I dwell in the remotest part of the sea, Even there Your hand will lead me and Your right hand will lay hold of me.
- Psalm 139:9-10

I wanted to share this good word with you ladies this morning---

I know someone needed to hear this!

Thank you my friend--Janet Fugate for sharing!

  3. Thank you so much for posting this today. I needed this. Especially the first sentence. I have been having problems with my body since March 09. One problem was solved now I am getting ready to undergo surgery to solve the other problem tomorrow. Please keep me in your prayers that I have a successful surgery & that I don't let the problems from my body, get me down.
    God Bless!!!

  4. I, too, needed this right this moment. This part, "When your relationships are crumbling and your feeling all alone. Hold on."
was exactly what I needed. I have 2 important friendships that are crumbling and I don't know when or if they will get resolved. I have felt alone and unloveable through this and it really hurts. Thanks! I love your blog.

  11. Good morning, I actually did a blog hop and some how ended up here. First, your blog is beautiful as purple of any shade is my absolute favorite color.

But the poem spoke deeply into my heart, and may I have your permission to print it off. It realy hit home and I am holding on.

    Lovingly,

  12. I just wanted you to know how thankful I am you posted this. I was sitting on my bed, crying, talking to dh over all the events that just took place. How can I be sailing through my morning one minute and yelling and in tears the next??? (no need to answer ;-)

Anyway, I was mindlessly checking blogs, sort of in a stupor and I read this poem. Perfect timing, perfect truth. Thank you. Don't you just love when God has you post something and it touches hearts!!??

Have a lovely day. I am going to pray, praise and rest and start afresh. Thanks again.

    clinging to His Faithfulness,
    Michelle

  16. Thank you for the beautiful poem. Life has been such a struggle lately, and i have felt discouraged. We have been dealing with no water off and on for over 3 weeks, a blizzard, an ice storm, no power for 5 days, and then the news today, we are losing our limited water supply.

I have felt like sitting down and having a good long cry, but i don't have any energy to spare...God is good and we will persevere

  19. Thank you for your postings. I enjoy reading them from time to time.

Titus 2 Ministries used to have an excellent article entitled, “The First Harsh Word.” At one time, I think you linked to if from your blog. The Titus 2 Ministries website is no longer coming up. Do you happen to have the article saved on your computer or do you know of any way I could get a hold of the article?

  20. Dear Westernwooodburner,

If you type into my search box (upper left hand corner) the words 'A Calm Voice Governs', it will show the post to it. Unfortunately, only a paragraph was copied of the original article. I think I did make my own personal copy of it somewhere around here at home though. You are right--it was excellent and I am sad to see that their site is no longer accessible.

    Many blessings...
